Wow Tim.  The detail of your city is amazing.  I love the different colored trees you have going on.  Is that a PEG Pack?  I also like the way your downtown is close to the water front with all the buildings going from Big to Small I did the same thing in one of my cities in my journal.  I can see why you make the comments you make.  I have a lot of work to do on the beauty of my city.  I figured once I get the layout's done I can concentrate on the smaller things.  ;-)

    Keep up the good work

    Thanks for the comments everyone!

DragonAnime: I can't believe you never stepped in here before either! Shame on you! 7.gif JK! thanks for stopping by.
Mickele Macon: Thanks! Your cities are pretty good, I just made the comments I did because I care about your journal, and there is always room for improvement! The diffrent colored trees are the PEG Seasonal Woods, and they change through the seasons.
    madawac: Thanks!

Thanks Cjah and Jetty Jockey! Also, what do you mean by around the river? I am definately going to expand down the banks of the Klondike River and Cold River, but there are a lot of rivers in my region, and which are you talking about?

That is a totally amazing downtown you have there MayorTIm. 29.gif

I really love that night shot as well. One question though: do you plop your buildings or do you let them grow 'au naturale' in a manner of speaking?? My downtown has too many Dojoellas (?) and Mori Towers sprouting all over the place. 3.gif

About half the buildings in downtown are RCI ploppables, I have maybe 3 or 4 landmarks, and the rest grew 'au naturale.' 1.gif

    Thanks KingofSimCity for the comment!

I made another area, mostly suburbs on the west side that reach into the cliffs, but I don't have any time to post the pictures right now. Instead, here is another region view.

Thanks Jetty Jockey and bobinator for the comments!

    Here's an update. 49.gif

    p18ha.jpg

This is an update on those hillside suburbs I told you about.

    p26sv.jpg

As we get closer to the city of Pinewood, we start to see more med density development like this.

    p36qr.jpg

Some nice high wealth suburbs along the waterfront.

    p46gf.jpg

As with most other cities in Klondike Delta, Pinewood has seen a recent boom in industrial development.

    p51io.jpg

Here is an early shot of Honeygrove Institute of Architecture. It teaches young and aspiring architects the skills required to make it big.

That hillside suburb looks really great!

I like how it doesn't seem steep and it looks like a normal hill....44.gif

This is a great region, and I love those hillside suburbs...

But the west side of the region view looks unfinished. Are you planning to finish that any time soon?
