    How can you get so many highrise with only 336.000 peeps??22.gif it just looks really fake.
    You should have developed your entire region a little more, before getting these buildings.

    Very simple. I cheat. I am a sandbox player, which means I strive for realisim above all else. Right now my region looks fake, because it is nowhere near done. Give me another 4 months, and I promise you it will look much more like a real city.

    In the past, I have tried to slowly grow a city over time, but I found that I am not good at making cities evolve. So, right now I have a downtown, and I have appartments around that. In a few days, I will start subrubs. In a few months, I will still be making subrubs. In a year, provided that we are all still here, This region will be finished, it will be realistic, and I will move on.

    I think I over-answered your question a bit, but there you go. 1.gif

    I must say this is an awesome looking region.44.gif Though, I just can't stop thinking of how part of the delta looks like a flooded Mt. Desert Island.

    42.gif Sorry, I only speak english. 1.gif

    Anyway, here is an update.

    p17jn.jpg

    Finally, I started my subrubs! 9.gif

    <ahttp://img128.exs.cx/img128/2229/p28mb.jpg align=baseline>

    Here is a mostly medium wealth area. While I don't personally like this look, houses like this make up 90% of towns where I come from.

    <ahttp://img128.exs.cx/img128/7294/p31dv.jpg align=baseline>

    Here is a much more ritzy area.

    <ahttp://img128.exs.cx/img128/8210/p41ow.jpg align=baseline>

    Also, the port area has been changed a bit. A new rail bridge has been built, And the transition from port to land on the left side has been made more seemless.

    <ahttp://img128.exs.cx/img128/6396/p54qb.jpg align=baseline>

    Finally, here is Clearwater Highschool.

    Comments welcome!

    Sigh... hate to be the nit-picker, but... (ok, so what if I enjoy it?2.gif)

    Anyway, you need to put make your transit system more rational.

    Your sububan streets wind wayyyy too much.  Ya, i know that winding is suposed to be how the 'real' ones are, but my experience is that they are designed to be more controlled than that, and only in the further reaches of the suburbs.  Closer to the city they get, the more of a grid they use.  Also, individual suburban developments are much larger... think 30-40 tiles between roads.

    Now, as for your highways... most of them are fine, but take a look at that S-turn south of the words 'New Suburbs'.  That's nowhere near realistic, and in this case, isn't even asthetic.  Get rid of it.

    One more thing:  you need more mid-rise.  Not nessecerally around the edges, but in the core.  Most cities have at most one skyscraper to a block.

    I apoligize if you're not going for realism, but if you are, these could help a lot.

    BTW: I like the airport.

    Thanks for the comment! I am going for realisim, and will definitely use some of your advise. That S turn in the highway system won't be there long anyway though, I was just using it for some testing.  As for midrises, I will add some in various areas throughout downtown, and see if I like the results. I MIGHT redo my subrubs to be a bit griddier nearer to the downtown core, but for the most part, my style is my style. As I get further out, and I mean wayyyyy further, you will see space between streets and houses increase gradually.

    Again, THANKs for the criticism! I really love getting feedback, compliments and suggestions alike. 1.gif

    Good update once again. I would have to agree with acefanatic, the S-turn isn't that realistic. A good mayor would minimize travel time...but I'm not saying that you're not a good mayor or anything...28.gifummm...let's start over. Hi, nice CJ.

    Great look to that region view! And why do you call your suburbs 'subrubs?' Maybe it's just a spelling error? If not, that's pretty cool and fun to say! 17.gif

    Lol I just noticed that! I type rather fast, so I guess that is just a little error I make... gotta break the habit

    suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs

    Ok, I think I'm good now. 1.gif

    The super demand modd that I use can be found Here  https://www.simtropolis.com/modding/index.cfm?mode=details&show=185

    However, there is another version of the modd that overwrites all the normal ordinances and replaces them with the ability to control what types of zones get superdemand, the ability to controle mass tranist stratagey, and a clean air/water/traffic pollution modd. This modd can be found https://www.simtropolis.com/modding/index.cfm?mode=details&show=282

    Oh yes, Sorry I didn't answer sooner! It is the Katalla Ak Map by flamesrock on the MEX. I did make my version much larger though, so if you want your region as huge as mine you will need to resize the grayscale and make a new config.
