My downtown is large because (I hope) that by the time I finish this region, I will have 1-1.5 million sims. I already have 300,000, so that goal shouldn't be too hard.

Great work Mayor Tim. I have one question to ask you. How long did it take for that downtown to rise?
From what i see, It looked like it rose in 2 seconds. lol

I spent about 5 hours laying roads, parks, civic buildings ect, 45 minutes watching it run on the fastest simulation, and another hour tweaking it after it grew. Right now my downtown is 217 sim years old.

Was looking at some of your nightshots!
Now THAT is a skyline!!!
The positionning of the airport is interresting, good way to solve the problem of having low buildings near the end of a runway, I'll keep that bit in mind for my next region.
I also saw the MetLife building in one of your shots, didn't know it was on the stex. Found it right away and downloaded it.

That region looks MASSIVE! I can't afford building on such a large map, it would bring my PC to it's knees :-)

But, after two hours of intense of debates (), I can assure that you've full support of bellevillois for the plan 2

Yes. I forgot to vote! I suggest a mix of plan 1 and 2 since 1 has a small radius and 2 has a natrual shape. Anyways, I really look forward to seeing it!

Well, after toiling around my cities since 3:00, Here is a region overview.

I am still not done, and I am going to have to re-shape downtown a bit, but I think I made alot of progress today. Maybe in another day or so I can (finally) start on subrubs. (I have TONS of ideas, so I can't wait!)

Great work mayor tim. I like how you used SOMY's Gyoko Harbor and Marina. I suggest you use the Pegadyne Oceanography institute.

Work has, unfortunately, been slow. Hopefully I will be able to update before the end of the day, but if not I will update in comming days. I'm still not entirely happy with my transitions, so I will have to work on those a bit more.

  No skyscraper forests for me! Maybe when I have 800,000 sims living in suburbs around downtown, it will look less like a skyscraper forest and more like a real, real big, city.

How can you get so many highrise with only 336.000 peeps?? it just looks really fake.
You should have developed your entire region a little more, before getting these buildings.
