Thats sad, but thanks anyway. I'm glad I have a pentium 4, my mom would go loony if her shiny new CPU burst into flames.

    so fire_bird, you must have pets...I grew up in an animal-free home, not because of allergies or anything, but simply because my mother had never liked pets. So that wore off on me, especially when my brother went overseas and left his two cats with us. Little &%$#s caused over 1500 dollars in damages. I cannot say I am very fond of cats.27.gif

    Except their fur...housecats are one of the few animals I would have no problem with if they were skinned.

    Here's hoping that doesn't make me a bad person.

    Overweight cats are hilarious.

    I'm a teenager. And even I hate teenagers. Though to be fair, there are still a lot of good kids even these days. The smart ones are getting smarter, the dumb ones are getting dumber.

    Anyways, I started work on the roof of the Moose Factory for the Bowling Alley. Its half finished, but still needs a lot of work. No point in posting a pic in other words.

    But I'm almost finished the "Romanesque" Museum:

    greatghalls49fa.jpg

    greathmall1pc.jpg

    Just needs some lighting on the exterior. And some on the inside.

    I'll have a sundea. I'm starving.

    I share my office & home with 3 cats.  I have to vacuum out all 5 of my desktop machines about every 3 months just to keep the fur from clogging everything up.  I'm getting to ready to do 2 shuttle desktop computers this next week.  But I would rather do a little extra maintenance thatn get rid of the cats.  They're a great stress reliever.10.gif

    (What I meant was that I made a mistake, not you 4.gif ) Hot chocolate will be fine. This 'Romanesque Museum' is beautiful! Especially the windows and the roof.

    @fire_bird: How about posting a picture of Amber. My mob can be seen on my Index page

    @brancra: So, you don't like cats. Look at the site linked above, and you can also see some dogs.

    @justanothersim86: Sorry, we only serve them on Sunday. However here is something a little better. The autosystem delivers itself of a long dish containing a banana sliced in two lengthwise topped with a scoop of each of chocolate, vanilla and butterscotch royale ice creams. The ice creams have toppings of marshmallow, crushed pineapple and pecan/caramel sauce respectively, then each is topped with whipped cream and three cherries. We give a long spoon with this. A litre glass of iced water appears on the side. Kazowie! That's is a really nice piece of architecture. How big is it? I assume you are going to make it a museum, but what size will the lot be? Will the parking lot be transit enabled? Lots of trees? Really, really, nice. Congratulations. Other than exterior lighting, i wouldn't touch it.

    Just read an article today outlining a study of water samples in which Antimony was found in more than trace amounts in bottled water. Apparently, this heavy metal leeches from the plastic bottles. As you know, water is the universal solvent. Antimony is like lead in that you can die of heavy metal poisoning if you get enough. History repeats again. We are killing ourselves, just like the Romans. They used to put sugar of lead (lead acetate) in their wines to sweeten them, and used lead pipes for plumbing. The more things change, the more they are the same.

    @TT: Sorry, we don't support cannibalism in any form. Go eat your own old folks. Raw.

    TT: A serving of green beans and red peppers appears on the table. Is that close enough? Half of the words are the same.

    N_O_Body: Wow! It's the man behind the moose!

    I went to go help my uncle with some cleaning work today, since I had the day off. He's a landlord, and I was cleaning one of the houses when, ironcially...this cat...starts treading all over the room I just cleaned...and it jumped on EVERY piece of furniture. I am not pleased.

    Antimony? In bottled water? Are you serious? How does antimony end up in plastic? What polymers exactly? Antimony is indeed very similar to lead in properties, but how would it end up in plastic? I realize I'm perstering you with many questions, but my curiousity, and the bottled water in the fridge, beg to know.

    @branca: Ah. I'm a cat lover. Sort of. Only thing is I'm allergic to cat fur. 3.gif

    @justanothersim86: Hey, same here! (Although you might have guessed that from my recent posts... 9.gif) Anyway, the museum is great! Will you be putting it on the STEX?

    @SamFlash: Yep. Actually, they proved that a while ago. (Petting cats -> Lower blood pressure.)

    @N_O_Body: Whoa. Does this mean I should stop re-using water bottles?

    @TT: 3.gif

    @Leech10: So what happens when they get in?

    Defcon: It already is on the STEX, and isn't doing terribly well compared to the "Library" (Orange building). Its too small, maybe I should release version 2 with better exterior lighting, which looks crappy right now.

    Brancra: Wouldn't surprise me if there was. God knows what chemicals are in bottled water. I don't know wehter I posted this or not here in the Moose Factory, but I get a kick out of the Nestle Water. It has icey mountains in the background yet read where the source of the water is.

    Wellington County, Ontario, Canada. I live a half hour south of where the water comes from and it is pure farm land. Dirty creeks and rivers, farms, cows, roads and towns and thats it. I think Walkerton, the town where 7 people died because of E-Coli, is in Wellington County. Its near it anyways.

    *The several confederate fighters explode on the outer control surfaces of the SD-1's engines (openings are too small for a spaceship to enter), while a massive blast shouts out of the middle engine of one of the CS-1s. (Each engine has its own control systems, and because they are so big, it is pure luck that you would hit the control systems in them.), while the rest are destroyed by the zuke thing. The zuke thingy then lands on a confederate cruiser and begins poking holes in it with its many legs*

    @brancra: The Antimony is not in the polymer. It is used (as Antimony Oxide I believe) as a catalyst for the polymer. It is either then embedded in the surface, or the cleaning method sucks. Well, I figure that there should be a damned strong flap now. As far as bottled water is concerned, if it is not in glass, I won't touch it. Get youselves a filter system, and stop participating in that scam. It will shorten your life.

    @defcon pilot: The real danger is in the actual bottled water which has had lots of time to leach the poison. The whole thing is a scam, anyway. What do you spend on bottled water annually? What does it cost for a home filtration system? Every heard of thermous (glass) bottles?

    @fire bird: Not a ginger cat, eh? A 'tween the sheets cat. We had a black cat very like that. Nemo lived to be 11 then passed away with type 1 diabetes.

    Water is actually cheaper than dirt here (we're on rocks in a swamp, so dirt isn't as common as you think) so I don't bother with botteled water. I just reuse pop bottles with tap water in them. Just as good. I find thermoses can't hold enough for me, I drink alot, especially water. On a bike run I can drink about 2 litres at a rest stop.

    And then I use the other facilities offered at the rest stop! 2.gif

    I'm just frightened by the fact that the bottle water I used to drink was pretty much coming from the same place as my tap water. But tap water is cleansed much more than bottled water. Not to forget that all that plastic is a waste.

    I read that London has more highrises per capita then Montreal (and many other notable Canadian cities). Its true, but we have roughly eighty 10-20 storey apartments scattered outside of downtown. Its hard to drive somewhere and not see a highrise.

    Yet our downtown skyline has gaps in it. Ugh.

    On the other hand, where likely to get a new 30 storey condo soon. We just go two 25 storey ones in 2004. 44.gif We need a new tallest though. 380 feet isn't enough.

    Victoria has about 30 highrises among 70,000 people. There was a discussion about which city would be the next to break the a highrise per 1000 people mark, it's a toss up between Toronto, Victoria and New Westminster.

    For the first time in my life, I now officially have a girlfriend! It seems sort of strange for a guy who hadn't even had anything close to a reltionship for 4 years to suddenly have success on his first try, but I did. In celebration, a round of drinks for everyone.

    As for the highrises of a city, personally I think one of the amazing stories is that of Bellevue, Washington. The city wasn't incorporated until 1954, and today it has 116,000 people, and quite the impressive skyline, more substantial than most cities of its size.
    bellevue_1.jpg
    And this picture doesn't even have the new Lincoln Center Tower, which rises 137 m. To add to the skyline, two additional 137 m towers are under construction, along with several other high-rises .

    @Fairlane500: Nice!

    @Voar Tok/N_O_Body: I see. So... I guess I'll stop using bottled water. Damn. I've drank at least 35 bottles since the beginning of the year. 15.gif And I've heard of Thermoses. But what do you mean by "glass bottle"? I thought most Thermoses were metal.

    @justanothersim86: Ah. I'll check it out.

    @Rymac91: SJ?

    Well, good luck anyway. 4.gif

    @TT: Ah. That's nice. I like reading...

    @fire_bird: Cute. 43.gif

    And sorry about your cat, N_O_Body.
