I have a better Acronym then MPCS(Multimedia Pocket Computer System)...MTATSA!(Macania's.Transit.And.Transportation.Systems.Adminastration)Which I may soon shorten it to MTTSA.

I love Acronyms you have to spell out instead of the ones you can say. 3.gif

N_O_Body: Actually, I have no issue with Rutgers. Tuition would just be a little 'moreso' because I am not a New Jersey resident. Actually, my big dream's to get accpted to Cornell University, and when I applied there early decision...

...they waitlisted me to regular decision.

That hurt. What hurts more is that new statistic my friends, family and teachers keep discussing about 30,000 applications for 3,000 opening in the class of 2010. I became rather sick of it after I heard it eight times today. But, one can hope, and if I am turned down, at least I have my options.

Sloppet: Wow, that looks like a chocloate donut they sell at a bakery near where I work. I'll never be able to eat them again.

Defcon pilot, he might mean "motley". And I have to agree with you about the pop culture thing in schools. In my school, we have "bandies" and "music nerds".

The Terminator: As a matter of opinion, I would not be caught in a Hot Topic store. A little too edgy for me. On the opposite end of the fashion spectrum, I don't wear Hollister or Abercrombie, although I'll admit I have some Old Navy and American Eagle in posession.

Speaking of which, here's a fad I don't understand: pre-torn jeans. Just does not make sense to me.

After turning a few pages...

@defcon pilot: 9.gif My personal stance is that it's easier in the long run to just be yourself. It sucks when somebody likes you for not being you, because eventually that's what you have to turn back into... and if you like them for them and they like you because you're somebody else... envision a period of angst in the future... All that's my opinion, of course, and depends on what you want.

    Motley

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Motley refers to the traditional costume of the Court jester or the Harlequin character in Commedia dell'arte. The latter wears a patchwork of red, green, and blue diamonds that is still a fashion motif.

@defcon pilot: Sorry, my spelling error. Definition I had in mind is above. On the other hand, you could call the organization Ignorance and Apathy to go along with the school fashionalble thinking (It actually means "Out of sight, out of mind.")

@sloppet: What did you have in mind for a prize: Typhus, Typhoid, or just E-coli poisoning.

@MsD: Good luck. Up here the teacher's strike against ACAATO continues. It is also March Break for the public school kids.

    @Rymac91: How about

    1. HCF - Halt and Catch Fire
    2. JPB - Jam and Pop Bogie gates
    3. XOI - Execute (computer) Operator Immediate
    4. SDH - Shred Documents Horizontal
    5. JPB - Jam Paper and Burn

@sloppet: I would never steal another man's dinner.

I'll never look at chocolate doughnuts the same ever again. Thanks.

Brancra: I hope you're accepted to Cornell. I'm sure you'll make it in.

    Remeber:

    Big envelope=good.

    Thin envelope=bad.

I'm fortunate to live in the same city as the University of Western Ontario. Often ranked in the best 5 in Canada. I don't have to live at the University thanks to the bus which stops a block away and heads all the way across the city to the campus. Its a lot less expensive when you live at home.

As for the BAT. I'm stuck on what to do with the roof over the bowling alley. I don't want to leave it as a slab but I'm trying to conjure up a fancy design for it. Propably glass. Maybe arched. I'm going to sleep on it.

I did make two new BAT's in the meantime:

From a mechanical engineering standpoint...how they are designed would actually be fine.  They are reinforced, although would have to be a little thicker than normal...

Both BATs look good by the way... 4.gif

Central Ontario is a snow belt, those windows have to hold several tonnes of snow. When you get 60cm of wet snow falling in a few hours, then in spring having all the snow melt and freeze, melt and freeze, over again, that better be magic glass!

Though it IS sim city. I guess it'll be fine.

That's why you normally don't see construction like that in Central Ontario.9.gif

That sort of construction is usually located in locations where the snow fall will be a foot or less at a time, so the weight wouldn't be that great...maybe akin to a small child standing on the glass.

@justanothersim86: Interesting that you are in London. My son has a degree in phisosophy from there and a diploma in science laboratory technology from Fanshawe. He is currently working in London at a tools manufacturer. When he had the choice of York, Windsor or Western, we shanghai'd him to London and walked him around the campus. He got the message. For your roof, how about a glass hemicylinder with reinforcing ribs on the circumerence at intervals? Not too hard a shape to do, and can look quite sexy. Use a large diameter, and only use as large a segment as you need. Be sure to use night light textures on it, so that it is both transparent by day and lit by night. Those are both rather good models. What kind of lots do you have in mind?

@MsD: A serving of double express cappucino is placed before MsD. This stuff is made from very high caffiene beans at double strength. If you need to soften it, try this bowl of whipped cream. There is fine granulated sugar for you as well. As an additional eye opener I have ordered you A three egg filled tomato and cheese omelet. Crisp bacon on the side. Enjoy. Up late on a school night? Tsk, tsk.

@aldara6166: You are unaware of the telekinetic services here?? What's that in front of you? Service here is often as silent as it is automatic. Oh, and one post is better than two. You shouldn't bump your own thread.

@vid: I expect that that kind of roof would be make of polycarbonate and not glass.

I think the windows would be made out of zuke armor and not glass. (lighter and much stronger)

*The CS-1s call in reinforcements and they arrive in the form of 3 SD-1s.*

*The dark zukes go to their secret lair and begin to build*

Alas, phantasy buildings don't seem to get used in the BAT exchange. We'd need a transparent texture with lighting for the zuke armor. Got one?

@N_O_Body: Heh heh. Yeah, you could say that. "Ignorance and Apathy"... Ah, two words that, for thirteen years, have been scorned in my mind. Maybe I'll transfer to a private school. Nah... Don't have enough money. 15.gif

I wish everyone at my school would shape up.

    @Shizu00: Interesting point. I agree.

    @hym: Now you have! 9.gif

    And don't worry. 3.gif

@Branca: Ouch. So... Does that mean you'll only have 10 choices in 2010? Or even less? Are they aiming even lower, like maybe... Oh, one application to none at all for certain students? Damn.

And pre-torn jeans don't make sense to me, either. And what we recognise as "fashion" around where I live (ex. baggy, torn jeans (guys); bellbottom-ish faded jeans (girls); torn pants (all); ganglike attire (guys); always wearing skimpy clothes (girls); etc.) doesn't make sense to me at all. People have strange tastes.

@justanothersim86: Nice. I like those. Especially the Romanesque (am I right?) building in the top picture.

@Leech10: *The Rheinland ships scatter and activate their cruise engines to head toward the nearest jumphole as five Confederate warships, seven gunboats, and nine full fighter squadrons emerge from a newly opened wormhole mouth with intentions to take the system.*

*The Confederate gunboats fire torpedos at both the now-fleeing dreadnought and the fleet of CS-1s and SD-1s.*

N_O_Body: That was pretty much what I was going to do. A hemi-cylinder. But you don't need night textures for it. Like my one building I posted last time, I just put some omni lights inside the building and then you look in at night. Not to mention that I can change the color.10.gif

Defcon: I doubt its peoples tastes that make them dress that way. Its a pathetic "status" symbol for them to look "cool".

I just laugh at them. 18.gif

@leech10: Maybe something less difficult to get than zuke arnour. Perhaps shaped and fixed arenak? Probably not as tough, but the toughest stuff, ionison, has a purple cast.

@MsD: Out celebrating with the student bodies, eh? Well, there is also an oxygen system in the back room that can be used as a quick recovery from der katzenjammer. How are your classes?

@defcon pilot And you wonder why some schools opt for school uniforms? Usually with the collaboration of the Student Council and the Faculty. One gets sick to death of a classroom full of bums and girls that try to look like they know something about the sex trade.

@justanothersim86: Yes, I have used that trick. Also, have you used self-illuminate for a texture? Works fine. I usually have problem with visualization when I am doing lights. I think it has to do with my monocular vision and all the confusing lines gmax puts in.

MsD: The zukes are the suppliers, that is where you order it from, they should have enough at their lair.

DP: it is the girls that have the pants with the holes and rips in them, I havn't seen any guys with pants like that, just baggy ones.

*The SD-1s' railguns open fire on the Confederate warships, while the CS-1s go after the gunboats and deploy fighters to go after the other fighters*

    *The zukes continue building*

    arnour?

    arenak??
