@gggg: Daily special delivered as specified. Vodka arrives in a chilled carafe with a shot glass. A pitcher of water is on the side with a chilled tumbler. Enjoy. Sorry, no pelagic white lobsters are available. They are currently a scientific curiousity and will probably be declared protected.

@Leech10: Hail zukes, dine well! Sorry, Latin colloquialism. From Juvenal, I think. "Cenabis beni, mi Fabulus, ...". Greek, then (roman alphabet) kali orexeen.

@defcon pilot You could have had the beer. Because you are underage, the autosystem will automatically dealcoholize it for you without changing the taste.

@hym: IC Engineering? Oh, boy. You will really need to understand 3D graphics and the guts of microminiaturization in photography. I suspect by the time you graduate, they will be cutting these circuits with gamma ray lasers. This, of course, in addition to all the electronic engineering stuff. Sounds like a good field to be aiming for. Just remember that if it can't be air cooled it will be too expensive for the mass market.

@sloppet: Donuts? From Krispy Kreme, I believe. Blecch! Too much fat and sugar for me.

Well, consider that evil tastes good at the time. On the other hand, what's wrong with strawberries?

@vid:  It's a balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit.  If I remember the Fahrenheit to Celsius conversion formula right, it would be about 21 degrees Celsius.  (It's so nice to be able to push a hotkey and pull up the Windows Calculator.)

@MsD:  Yes! I'm starting to learn Microsoft's naming convention for their tests.  I have heard that the MCSD is pretty tough (I saw a 1,000 page book on preparing for tests 1-75).  Integrated Curcuit Engineering seems like it will be an enjoyable experience (although I have to ask N_O_Body about the 3D graphics and photography parts).

@sloppet:  How can you like chocolate donuts?  I don't know which is worse, chocolate donuts or fried squid (which I have had, by the way).

@N_O_Body:  Very good advice about the air cooling (Intel found out the hard way).  How exactly does 3D graphics and photo miniaturization fit into designing CPU's?  I realize that the CPU has to be able to handle those processes, but I was of the understanding that was handled by the software engineers (I know that they should probably just be called "programmers," but I have to sugar-coat it in case my future boss should be looking).9.gif  Just joking about the future boss.

@SamFlash:  Ah, you have stumbled across the question that has riddled mankind for centuries.17.gif  Seriously, I've wondered that myself many times when I couldn't sleep at night.

I don't like fatty foods because of the taste, but I also don't like fruits or vegetables, other than catsup, or apple juice.

Do French fires count as vegetables?

@vid: Properly done steak served with all the fixin's. Strawberries Romanoff for dessert? That is if gggg didn't eat all the ice cream.

@hym: These are techniques used in labs to prepare the masks for the chips. Somewhere in your courses you'll have to at least understand how that works. I don't know about hotkeys, but I keep the calculator on my desktop and activate the desktop as a toolbar that is collapsed. Let's see it takes two mouse clicks to get the calculator. F

@NOBody:  Ah, that makes more sense about the photo miniaturization.  Yeah, I'll have to understand how the lab techs actually make the chips.  As for the formula for F to C conversions, mine's slightly different (the end result is all that matters in this case).

    subtract 32
    multiply by 55%

    The divide by 9 is hard, I just remember a few key points, 4C = 40F, 21C = 70F = room temp, etc.

Speaking of fruit, could I get a large watermelon.  Those things are absolutely awesome if you grow them right.

I think that I'm going to get a chance to reinstall the BAT soon, so maybe, just maybe, you'll be seeing some of my creations on the STEX by May.3.gif

C to F is very easy

Take the C temperature, double it, subtract 10% and add 32.

I pull a chair up to a quiet table in the corner and prepare to myself to read through 160 pages of a rough-bound pamphlet I found on the ground just outside the entrance... "Moose Factory Flyer" is handwritten across the front.
I can't tell if it's an official publication or not.
But I am thankful the table is well-lit.
When the proprietor notices my presence I smile upon his approach and say A chocolate llama-milk-shake with a shot of irish creme, please, if it's not too much trouble.
I make sure to thank him before flipping into the first few pages, the spot I reached while reading outside.

@MsD: I look up, startled, then smile. I saw MsD when I first came in, but also noted the plethora of drinks and happy revellers surrounding her and guessed she had only recently arrived after an absence of her own. I stand and extend my hand in greeting.
It's so nice to see you, I say. Thank you, again, for the invitation, and for the drink! I would have never so quickly found such an elegent establishment wandering about the streets of Simtropolis myself!
Anyways... I don't want to keep you, I actually haven't been here long enough to really know what anyone is talking about, so I figured I would just sit back and listen for a few moments to get more of a feel for the place.
I pat the book on the table.
Quite the history to get through! But I'm looking forward to chatting more! 4.gif
@N_O_Body: Thank you so much for your kind welcome, it's good to be here. I met MsD over at the New Member Introductions and she recommended dropping by here for a drink and meal. Always a good idea to listen to the locals when travelling, I figure, and I can tell I've been steered in the right direction. ("Steered"? I have no idea what tense I pretended to use right there, but I'll let it stand because it sounds very funny.)
As for the avatar, I can't say I know much about it, unfortunately. I wanted to change the generic one but don't really know how to make one of my own yet. So I found this on a "free avatar pics" site, and it looked cool. (I bought an anhk when I was about 16, at a shop downtown here in Vancouver, and it sort of became my talisman when I spent a rough year in the southern Philippines (mostly trying not to get kidnapped or shot) when I was 18-19. Tore me up when the chain broke a few years ago while I was out for a walk and I lost it.)
Did I say "cool" above? I meant "elegant", all gold and everything. 9.gif
I'm looking forward to reading the printout. I look at the book again and go just a little paler. I have no idea what the autosystem is or TT's robot servers... but that's why I'm just going to sit quietly in the corner for a bit!
Thanks again for the kind welcome, you have a lovely establishment!

MsD: If you want to know what my very first creation looked like, make a green box (not a spline, a rectangular box) with the dimensions of 45m long, 30m, wide, and 15m tall.  Stick that on a 4x6 lot and call it done.  It was that pathetic.

N_O_Body: Thanks for the watermelon.  That dialect you used reminds me of what I have been told was the dialect used by the slaves in America.  If I guessed correctly, that basically means "Yes master.  Here's your watermelon."  Correct?

Intro to Microsoft Officeducky.gif (I need to pass this to take some other computer classes later in my high school years2.gif)

Social 9B (This is what would be known as Civics part 2:sun2.gif

shizu00: Hey, enjoy your time in the Moose Factory.  I'm sure you will.  I do.

djrules: What grade of school are you in?  I don't mean to sound caustic, but they have been making me do that since about 6th grade.

MsD: Thankfully, I had enough experience with the BAT that I didn't make that mistake.  Good thing too.  My poor computer would have died while trying to render that (it took what I described earlier a really long time as is).

@shizu00 Thanks for those kind words. Yes, the past participle of "steer" is "steered". If you are a cattle rancher, I realize this may have other connotations. Enjoy the place, and stay as long as you like.

@Voar Tok: Yes, that is correct. You could say I wuz jes' funnin' yuh. Enjoy your melon.

@djrules5454_simtropolisedition: Wow, what a mouthful... In your post, I noticed you tried to use some of the extended smilies. Extended smiliies (words) start with a colon ( : ) and end with a semi-colon ( ; ) like this bunny.gif If you care, you could edit that long post and fix those with a few semi-colon insertions by just editing it. Meanwhile, back at the English books, are they that thick that they are a nuisance? Doesn't the teacher tell you which sessions are grammar and which are Literature? Is your Lit. all in one book? Seems pretty simple. Most Lit. courses take up several books per semester.

@Leech10: You mean you don't recognize a simoleon symbol (

I don't know, you could watch them to see how good they are. If you want to battle them, it is strongly advised that both combatants use practice lightsabers, which are just colored plastic tubes with handles to avoid serious injury.
