Welcome to Simtropolis!

To install the NAM:

1. Download the NAM.

2. Run the installer. If your cars drive on the left, choose the LHD option.

3. That's it.

NAM Essentials is basically used to deliver RUL Controller File updates in between full NAM Core updates if any components are updated.

As the NAM Core and NAM Essentials have the same date on them right now, there is no reason to download NAM Essentials at this time.  For more info, see the NAM FAQ linked in my signature below.

Look in the meuns where your road and highways are. There should be new stuff there. That is waht the nam added.

i love the idea of NAM and badly need it to solve over crowded railway lines, but whenever i install it it totally ruins my game, sims lose the ability move by any means other than walking and every zoned area displays the no car zot, help! thanks

You probably installed the Park&Ride version of the traffic simulators. Reinstall the NAM with a non- park&ride simulator.

I have the same problem and I didnt catch how you fixed it.  Not sure if I have to transfer some files to get Nam to work right.  I am just confussed with all of the plug-in folders that I have.  I read all the htmls that came with NAM.  Maybe I am just over-thinking the installation process.  After I run the .exe and pick my setup choices, what steps remain?

The plugins folder is in your My Documents folder and Vista has My Documents in a diffrent location. By default the NAM installs to the XP location. You will have to change where it installs to so that it is in your plugins floder when it asks.

Are there any good tuts on how to use NAM/NWM cause I am having a hard time laying out the roads with it and know which pieces to use and where to use them at sorry for being such a *****.

Take a look of some cities on Google maps. There you will find parts for NWM and NAM which can help you plan out your cities. It all depends on the builder and what he wants. Nothing else,

gday guys and gals, heres an interesting one for you, i noticed after installing the nam, all my sims were driving on the wrong side of the road, i had rh drivers previous, i installed rh, they all started driving on the left, so i thought i was wrong before and reinstalled it with left hand drive setting, guess what, they started to drive on the right hand side of the road, should i worry, or just let all my sims drive where they like, lol.

you should also look at Network Widening Mod (NWM) It was originally a seprate mod but now they have merged (or thats what I got) either way, NWM adds larger avanues that you can drag, might take some gitting use to but it will be invaluable (I think )

Not sure what you are asking. Do you mean trains are not appearing on the tracks? Or are you trying to use an automata mod? Or do you mean your tracks do not appear correctly?

You might trying posting in the Transit Network thread for a better response. Also, help us by providing a little more information describing your problem. Let us know...
