Welcome to the community.

I never seen this dialog before. That might be because my treasury is always in the plus side.

I was thinking of a modd when I saw this image, in which that when you click 'Run for Senator', instead of being sent back to the region view, the city would be obliterated and saved back to an un-incorporated landscape.

What do you think?

P.S: Please don't type the subject entirely in capital letters. It sounds like yelling to some members. Thanks!

This is part of the game.  When you are deeply in debt, your ungrateful simmie citizens will fire you.  Ya gotta start over.

To supplement that comment I made earlier, I think this event occurs if you go below -$100,000.

I had it once quite some time ago when I spend around 2.000.000 Simeoleons for creating a whole downtown in on months (no kidding). At the second try I tok 200.000 loans before I got too deep into the red and that made it ...21.gif

But I guess this is the only way to loose the game ... 31.gif

Perhaps Checkers would be a better game for you... 18.gif

Only kidding.  Everyone above is correct.  You've simply driven your city so deeply into debt that you have been impeached.

It happens to the best of us...   Good luck with your new city!

I think I had that happen in SC2000 or SC3000, but never in SC4.  In SC4, IF I ever get near to that point (maybe twice), I just destroy the city and continue on in the region.

I've had the message as above when I once let the game run for a few hours on its own while I was testing something. A sudden abandonment after a rapid period of development put the city in debt which after 100 years or so ate away at the city funds until they were at -100 000. Game Over.

But sometimes you get the Game Over/Run for Senator message when you have too much money in the coffers. This is the downside of using excessive money cheats.

Typing weaknesspays will get you a some extra money. Its a cheat. I think you can open the box that you type it in by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift+x OR Ctrl+x. Either one will work. I never really tried it so I dont really know if it works

you will go to the region, but your city will be there where you last saved it.

That happened to me a once last year by accident, never will it happen again.

I couldn't wait to see how a building would look at night so I made the game go into cheetah speed to compensate for my impatience. Only problem was I only had about 1,000$ in bank. Up popped that message and I panicked. I was so worried I shut down the computer. Thankfully, my most developed city was just as it had been when I reloaded it.44.gif

I guess the game was telling me good things come to those who wait-and have money in the bank.

I had that happen when I let the game run while I was doing something else. I forgot to check on it...and I got the boot.

Never seen this message before, Only in my first city at SC3000. Maybe I'll try it for the fun. What should happen when I click on the Run for Senator button?

If I am not mistaken; I believe that pop-up is gauged by your mayors popularity. I have had a mayor who is liked 90% and drove my funds to -1000.00 simoleons. Never got the pop-up though.

Have had my funds at +600,000,000.00 and never got that pop-up either.

Once you loose profit, it will take a few years to drive down your popularity, then it will pop-up.
