Not necessarily. It depends on how the number is kept. If it rolls over past a certain value, depending on the kind of number it is, it will set the negative bit, and seem to be in deficit, very large.

This is something I've heard of. I can't tell you it's true, but I can't tell you it's not true either.

I don't know how it is in SC4, but in SimCity 3000, when you get too much money, your money turns into a negative value. That is very hard (if not impossible) to achieve if you play the game in a normal way. But then, you could always cheat...

    Can anyone confirm this?

far as I know there no too much money it goes into the negatives glitch....but there is a glitch where you have too much money your game will crash to the desk top...think it's like above a trillion or quatrillion dollars though or some astronomical number like that...only way you could actually reach it is to use a money park cheat and leave it your game...eg leaving in the super money park that gives you billions of dollars per month...or some like money cheat of the same variaty

A similar glitch happens in SimCity 3000, but it may be possible for SC4 to have the coffers so big that the game might not crash, but some figures may be hidden beyond the box.

Im not surprised at the low-funding thing, it must pop up when you have done nothing for your sims and your rating is in the red.  With the over-money thing that could be true too... You are not spending enough for the sims and the sims take this as a bad insult and sack you...

Its all in the views of cheats and the people who havnt got to grips with SC4's inner workings...

But its a great acheivement, either way...
