Happy Christmas Dirk! though I don't come here often, it's allways nice to see the members of a website send their webmaster a gift (that is the right word, right? Webmaster?)

I'll get Ash to point out the star later then.

Yes, thanks to all the other people who contributed too!

Let

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

Happy Christmas everyone, I actually made a thread on the 24th(the day we celebrate x-mas in sweden(ST-TIME, was 25th here).)

(tsk, think it was the first Chrismas Post on the subject :P)

Well im just gonna quote in my message here:

Date: 12/24/2004 9:38:50 PM
Author:Xiziz
From me to ALL you fellow Simtropolians and Lurkers(yeah, you get a bite to, just for beeing here).
I Present you(43.gif*thousands):
brostgifttiny3nc.jpg
This is the Amoy Brige on the island Fwandreii, outside Chitose, its a First time 'real' view of Planet Ishantrissti, with its 2 Red Moons and Purple Atsmosphere.
The veiw is of the Fwandreii Mountain Range and River Amoy flowing from it.
The Brige is a Cable Stayed one.(but i guess you can see that, even if the wires are wobbely)

An Larger (1600px*1200px) is Avalible here(and it looks a lot nicer i might add)

Well Its x-mas, and everyone deserves a gift, i know not everyone celebrates x-mas, but asfar as i know, most people veiw it as an holiday, and if thats not the case see it as an Gift to you for beeing a Simtropolian.

Oh, and this Will be Posted in the 24th for most of you, this is intentional.(even though its the 25th here by now). But in Sweden we celebrate Chrismas on the 24th of december, not the 25th(hahaha, ive alreagy got my presents 3.gif), so its within the Swedish tradisions, atleast by ST-Time ^_^

Im just starting out at coloring stuff on the Computer, so this is still prettey new to me, but it is 100% Original artwork(unless someone tells me its not my brige cos somone else invented it). Lineart made on Papper and inked before scanning, Coloring in PS7.

Xiziz Out
And Happy Chrismas! Now go enjoy yourselves.

Cheers

“The American city should be a collection of communities where every member has a right to belong. It should be a place where every man feels safe on his streets and in the house of his friends. It should be a place where each individual's dignity and self-respect is strengthened by the respect and affection of his neighbors. It should be a place where each of us can find the satisfaction and warmth which comes from being a member of the community of man. This is what man sought at the dawn of civilization. It is what we seek today.”

I figured it couldn't be official...but it's still neat, isn't it?

Well, depends on how you look at it: While it may be a neat gift, paying 50 bucks for not much more than a piece of paper is quite a rip-off, isn't it? I'm board member of a local astronomy club, so I know the ISR, but I can only advise everyone to spend the money on an astronomy book or something like this, where you actually can learn something. Or visit the next observatory or planetarium, which surely is a wonderful experience, once you've seen the stars and planets with your own eyes through a telescope, or projected onto a dome with a clarity you won't see anymore in our light-polluted cities. 4.gif

It would be even neater if you only spent a few cents for printer ink, and made a so called certificate yourself.

Once again, it's the thought that counts...20.gif
