My own Map (Region) Project

So, new at this (not playing the game) just creating a new region/map/file. Images below is what I want to do. The image of the folder, which I tried to create, but, does not show up when I load the game.. I think it has something to do with this config.BMP file.. which confuses me.  I tried to download the SC4 map maker (2013), but I kept gaining errors at the unzip process.

Somehow you wound up with two separate topics for the same thing. This one had the extra image of the files in your folder so I kept it and hid the other one.  

I don't currently have time to address all I'd like to explain, but I believe if you could go thru the steps in an old tutorial I wrote, it'd give you a much greater understanding of the general principles of map making. (Mine does not address making true to scale maps, but it will help you get started.)
