STEX Files on a Mac

Got a new MacBook and loaded up NAM. I was thinking about making a donation and getting the STEX files. Was wondering if anyone has done that on a mac, and if itll work.  I have the App Store version of the game, with nothing but NAM set up yet.

Just remember it's the making a donation which is the key part of this. That helps keep Simtropolis online.  

The STEX files used to be DVDs and then long, long ago they were switched out to ISO images to download (which you can virtually mount). I'm even thinking we switched those to huge zip files. What the discs contain is a copy of popular STEX entries at the time they were combobulated. They are the very same as you could see and download from the STEX itself at that time. No more, and no less. If a file here requires a million deps from a thousand sites, it's still going to require those and you'll be chasing them just like now. (Ofc, that's getting better and easier over time as Tibi & Co. continue to organize and consolidate files.)

You'll want to consider the STEX discs as cute little trinkets you get as a free gift rather than as useful tools. 

Ofc, I don't want to talk you out of making a donation. Without those ST would go away. But also, I want to be sure you don't have any false hope that the discs will be much, if any, improvement over the online STEX itself.
