Clear Pollution - DLL Plugin

A DLL Plugin for SimCity 4 that clears pollution from a city.

The DLL adds a ClearPollution cheat that can be used to clear Air, Water, Garbage and/or Radiation pollution from a city. The cheat takes an optional Air, Water, Garbage or Radiation parameter to control what type of pollution to remove. When run without parameters, it will clear all 4 pollution types.

The cheat is intended to remove phantom pollution caused by improperly modded lots that have been demolished. The game will recalculate the pollution values for the city tile after running the simulation for a few months.

System Requirements

• Windows 10 or later
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 x86 Redistribute

The plugin may work on Windows 7, but I do not have the ability to test that.

Installation

1. Close SimCity 4.
2. Copy SC4ClearPollution.dll into the top-level of the Plugins folder in the SimCity 4 installation directory or Documents/SimCity 4 directory.
3. Start SimCity 4.

Troubleshooting

The plugin should write a SC4ClearPollution.log file in the same folder as the plugin.
The log contains status information for the most recent run of the plugin.

Not unless the game considers that air pollution.

I just tested and yes, it does remove car traffic pollution. After running the cheat, I also needed to switch away from the Air Pollution data view then go back to see it all cleared.

Keep in mind this is temporary. I then ran the slowest time and it seems the pollution data updates twice a month. My save game was paused on the 20th and then the updates came on the 4th and 20th of the following two months and it did appear like it was then back to the original amount of air pollution. (This particular city tile isn't bugged afaik.)
