Fire Realism Mod not working in Deluxe

i know im one of those strange guys that likes disasters, and this mod used to work really good in the vanilla disk version. Now i have to use SC4 Deluxe on Steam. It doesn't appear to be changing anything in the game. Doesn't adjust flammability and hardly any fires ever. Im very familiar with how it "should" function having used it for years before. Any reason why the deluxe edition won't allow the mod to function? thanks.

Honestly this sounds the wrong way around to me, assuming by Vanilla disk version you never previously had the Rush Hour update (Deluxe is just SC4 and RH bundled together), my understanding is that Vanilla is less compatible modding wise.

Whilst it’s certainly possible if a mod was made without Rush Hour in mind, it may no longer function with Rush Hour. To my knowledge there wasn’t a whole load of such mods and frankly the number of people without Rush Hour/Deluxe has always been small. Since Rush Hour is kind of the finished product, it is synonymous as SC4 and has been for a very long time.

Do you have a link to the mod in question? A bit of digging may help enlighten things.

hello there, yeah it's this mod: 

I guess by vanilla i meant not the deluxe steam version where the base game and rh expansion are included in one. This mod worked with the disc base game and rush hour expansion, but for some reason doesn't work with the steam deluxe version...
