Are there any 1x1 I-M growables? I've exhaustively searched and have not found any except some for IRM, which I would prefer not to use. Can I just use IRM growables without the IRM mod?

Here is the link to the IRM I-M 1x1 growables I found:

Thank you for any help!

Normally using growable Ind lots designed for IRM isn’t a huge problem. However the zone types will have been altered from the base game. That isn’t an issue for the Ploppable lots in the set you linked though, since they are just Plop lots.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

Thank you for the reply. Are the lots I linked Plop lots? I thought they were the kind that naturally grow on an industry zone – perhaps I am confused.

My understanding of the linked content is that "dirtier" filler lots will grow in medium-density and "cleaner" lots will grow in high-density. Is that what you mean by zone types will be different? Thanks again.

Sorry, I totally mixed up the linked file with a different addon which is Ploppable fillers. Indeed the linked set is growables.

Using them really brings two problems. First they mightn't fit the style of the Maxis lots visually, this includes the concrete bases. Similarly, how they grow with respect to Med or High Density zoning may not match the base Ind lots.

Is that a huge problem, probably not, but it’s something to be aware of.

Is there a reason why you don’t want to use the full IRM mod? Honestly, it totally transforms both the look and control you have when using Industrial. Plus to use the one set of lots, you probably have 90% of the needed dependencies now too. Not great to use it starting with an existing region, but otherwise this is one of the first mods I’d recommend after the NAM. Maxis never put much effort into industrial, so all the lots are bland and ugly, IRM fixes that.

I suppose you're right. I really enjoy the look of dense Maxis dirty industry with the burner units and fuel tanks and whatnot, even if it was not very realistic – something I don't want to give up by using IRM. However, I think I'll give it a shot and be pleasantly surprised with the look. Thank you!

At its core, IRM just puts a new take on the old Maxis buildings, like a bunch of relots. There is more detail, variety and consistency however. Then there are other optional expansions to add some of the best industrial BATs into the mix too. Plus the fillers allow you to manually expand industrial lots into larger complexes which really add a lot of realism.

Well, I got around to downloading IRM. Base IRM works great and is a fantastic improvement so thank you for the recommendation. Unfortunately, however, the 1x1 growable mod I linked is not working. All the growables from that mod are missing their props! The ground texture is there but the props are invisible. Any idea why that might be? I have all of the dependencies (since they are just IRM dependencies) and the Maxis buildings as props but to no avail.

    Thank you for any help

Edit: nevermind fixed. Reinstall of BSC textures worked
