I didn't want to post this on the official request board until I got some feedback.   I read a post from 2010 about how there are no Vegas BATs (at least none of the major ones, that I could find) because it's hard to make casinos because of the flashing lights and the fact that all of the properties are so massive.

Then, It dawned on me that that post is 12 years old now.  Has there been no innovation in 12 years?

Forget the flashing lights, call that an unsolvable problem.  Instead of making entire lots, couldn't you just make the individual buildings on the lots and let the player put them together themselves?

I'll admit I don't know much about BATs, but I think it's a shame that there are so many Iconic buildings in Vegas and none of them are BATs.  I'm just trying to open up a dialogue I guess for potential solutions.  If anyone knows of any Vegas buildings I can download please let me know.  I have had no luck so far.

I have 7 or 8 of them, I think. Gleaned from assorted sites. But if you don't think of these custom lots as what name has been applied to them, then there's the potential for hundreds of them.

There are lots of buildings here, that could pass for casinos, and many are commercial, so wouldn't have the negative crime aspects. They can be spruced up and fleshed out with rewards like pyramids, Sphinx, fountains, etc. Hard Rock casinos are just mini-malls with assorted shops and restaurants. We've got plenty of them. Indian casinos are mostly plain-Jane, so easy to make.

If we need anything, it would be stand-alone signs. With a few hundred of those(lit or un-lit parks) you would virtually be able to use any lot for anything.

I am pretty sure we are much advanced with the lighting by now. Even the „flashing“ could work making some neon signs as timed props that turn on and off throughout the night. There are plenty of great examples out for neon signs… i will try to find and link them here once I have some more time. (I tried myself on some bright signs, you can find them on some of the beach huts on my playa sets but there are people who have mastered this way beyond what I can do)

I also think the building size should be no problem anymore!

I've always thought the same thing, I think it would be cool to have some of the large Vegas style casinos available. I actually ran into the same issue many, many years ago when I had plans to make a Vegas-style CJ and couldn't find enough BATs available to make what I was going for. I actually got the urge to BAT one of them a few years back after I visited Las Vegas for the first time, but so many of them are enormous properties with pretty extensive grounds and a ton of attached convention/exhibition space that modeling all the little details would take a really long time. I have trouble staying motivated to work on buildings that large because some days you can spend hours on little details and it has a relatively small effect on the final result, so it doesn't feel like you're making much progress.

I actually started modeling the Flamingo, but I got bogged down in the details. How much of the grounds do I model? Do I include the pedestrian street on the north side, and how far back do I go? Do I go all the way to the High Roller and include the Hilton on the other side of the pool? Obviously it's simple enough to just draw a line and move on, but those are the kinds of things that make me put the brakes on a project because I'm too indecisive about how to proceed. I ended up sort of losing interest and moving on to other projects. Maybe I'll come back to it at some point - I was really looking forward to doing the nightlighting.

There are a few larger casinos available, but I'm not sure if they're really what you're looking for:

I stayed in the Flamingo my first time in Vegas.  Will never forget it.  I have the same problem too with getting bogged down in the details, not with BATs but with life.  Alot of people I talk to have the same problem.  My theory is that its because of smart phones and having way too much technology, but idk... Ill check out your lots they look good!
