NAM won't start

I downloaded the NAM 38 Zip file, extracted it into a folder, executed the patch file, but when I click on the NAM setup file, nothing happens. I have JRE on my computer with the latest version.  I'm using Windows 10. What else is needed?

Java's .JAR format needs to be properly associated with the right Java .exe, this may not be the case for you. Otherwise, perhaps Java needs Admin rights to run, which must be set directly at the Java.exe and not via the shortcut used to run the Java App. This has come up before, the information from the following post onwards, should help you:
