Hi there,

I presume you're using this file which makes all 3 versions of the City Hall possible to upgrade, or the automatic one that simmaster developed.

It appears how there are MMP items that are showing instead of the trees on the lot Maxis made originally. This is seemingly because the IID of some custom MMPs matches that of the flora contained on the City Hall lot. To resolve this, there's a fix which prevents it happening.

As follows:

What this does is removes the offending props, and replaces them with standard maple trees instead.

I hope this works for you. *:)

    Thanks for the update.

It's quite a curious case really for why it happens.

The reason is due to having MMPs that are able to conflict with the flora props which the City Hall references. So if you'd installed a new set of MMPs recently which clash, then once plopping the City Hall and they now can appear. I've heard some people say really obscure props can appear on the lot also.

This topic has some supporting info about the reasons:

Quoting @rsc204 since this is the best explanation:

This basically happens because we (modders) re-purposed Flora to use for MMPs. Prior to that, the only Flora in-game were trees, so selecting a random Flora item meant you'd get a random tree. However, once you've added a bunch of MMPs, any of the props converted to Flora become part of that group. Leading to some rather bizzare things popping up at city hall. The fix simply removes the "Flora Family", replacing it with a static tree prop.

This is happening to me. It began yesterday. I always get two huge brown packages close to a city hall, no matter where I put it. The City Hall fix found here has already been installed:

Nothing, however, has changed. I'm desperate to find a solution to this. It's extremely irritating.

The basic problem is the same, random Flora items are being displayed, only you are missing the models for said Flora (probably an MMP you have installed), so you see brown boxes. I'd recommend you install the City Hall MMP fix, info on that here.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

Thank you. I just installed that a little while ago.
