Hard Drive Fails. Start Over. Where Are My Fav Plug-ins?

My electric company did another one of those transformer resets - This one corrupted my hard drive or whatever, so switched to a back up PC, with Win Vista, Uugh!

Been spending a week finding and installing all my favorite Lots, Plug-ins, mods, etc. However, I cannot find two of them. Can anyone help?

I am looking for better trees, that reduce much more pollution. The trees did not replace the Maxis trees(mayor mode), just added a second set of trees. I also had a smaller zoo, that was 2x4 and although I still had the original Maxis zoo option, this smaller zoo could replace the VERY OVERLY Gigantic Maxis zoo.

I patched the game, of course, but my mayor rating is stuck, at 65%. I know my SimCity, so my mayor rating should at least be 90%, with a population of 300,000 and nearly all gifts placed. What have I done incorrectly?

Hiya @TheCrybKeeper, 

About the reducing pollution tree, I don't know that, however i thought you may could modify any Mayor mode trees with the tool LEProp. Simply open your lot file, A tree has an "air pollution" of -3, you could reduce this number at a appropriate value as you wish.

Everyone should read that and learn from it. Whenever one's plugins folder becomes "stable" with any new arrangement, one should burn it to optical disk (or other external device) that one can recover from. And if one plays from an SSD, that goes double.

Depending on the nature of the HD crash, it could be salvageable. Firstly, if the power spike ruined a power-supply or some part of a motherboard (e.g. HD controller), then the HD itself could be undamaged. Second, if damaged only in some sectors (e.g. its boot track), many of its files might be recoverable if mounted as a slave in another machine.

@Raymond7cn : Thank you Raymond! Those are exactly the ones, I am looking for! I am going to try the LEPROP thing - Have seen it mentioned before - Thanks again ;-)

@jeffryfisher : I totally agree. However, I enjoy starting over with a clean machine - I find it to be a new adventure. Personal files are recovered from the cloud, photos, artwork, etc. Starting games from scratch, is just a part of the adventure. 

I still have one issue though: My parks(medium green park) and some of my low density residential are missing items(graphics). My medium park is just a green square with one lamp post in it. Small houses have no trees or bushes or driveways, etc - Just a plain green lot with a house. Mayor rating will not go past 65% or eight bars out of twelve. The only positive effect 'gift' I haven't placed is the zoo.

Hiya @TheCrybKeeper, I'm not pretty sure about this, i seem to remember a similar situation happened during testing, however i couldn't remember it, I thought it would be better if you could post the screen shots. And the Mayor rating, There are two issues i could think of by now, One is a special plugin which could gain many money every month, i remember that it will corrupt the save file even bulldoze it, you have to play a new city, Another one is Opera Bug, I remember that when you population gets to a number, Your education rating will be influenced due to the Opera Bug, the solution is either don't plop it or use this Fix:

Medium park is all good now, include all lots - I needed to set the graphics details for the game on 'highest' - DUH! I am so silly 

I have the opera house fix and installed it back on Monday, but nothing changed.

My only issue now, is what is up with my mayor rating? Maybe I didn't install OperaHouseFix correctly, hmmm.

Ah, I know where I was when I heard it. Is that a Prop Pox bug?  Just thought they look as the same issue,

I knew it when i was learning from wiki, but Frankly, I never been through it, here is a thread in SC4D about that,

Concerning Mayor rating, I thought your population is not too much so that causes an Opera bug, May i ask that which rating is the lowest, There should be more details about safety, healthy, education,etc.

I have successfully fixed every issue, but the mayor rating. Opera House Fix works! Mayor rating stays low

My Mayor Rating Panel doesn't show much information. Everything is positive in my cities. I have been playing from these CD's since 2003 and never had this issue before.

I started this 'region', before installing the EP1 game patch, which may be an issue, so I am going to start all over with a new 'region' and see if it fixes itself.

Yeah, I'm very happy for you , @TheCrybKeeper, I could understand your joy since i have been through solving issue as well, it's wonderful, though i still wonder the reason of Mayor Rating, but i thought you could solve it as well when it happens again by contrast, Anyways, Congratulations!
