Edge scrolling not working anymore

Hi there,

just started SC4 again (MacApp Store version) after many many years and it still rocks. Good to see that the forum ist still up and running.

Now I got one issue that occured after a while of gameplay:
The edge scrolling with trackpad or mouse doesn't work all of a sudden. Now the only way to navigate through my cities is just by using the cursor-keys. This is not very handy though and I would appreciate any help.

I tried to fix it by getting rid of all my plugins but that didn't do anything. Also changing resolution or changing to window mode didn't do anything.

Hi powl,

I only run the Windows version here so it might be different, and I suspect you've already tried this.

But just thought I'd mention the "Edge Scrolling" setting in case it's not checked in the Play Options menu:

This is a known issue. Sometimes Edge Scrolling just turns itself off for no good reason. (I've found that sometimes it's caused by Command Tab-bing to other windows and then back again, but it's extremely intermittent as to when it does it.) It's easily fixed by literally going into the Options menu (in Region mode OR City mode, doesn't matter) and clicking the box for it, literally just turning it back on again. (I too tried to hardcore troubleshoot it like you did when I first got the issue, but really, the best fix is simply turning it back on again.)
