Missing Grass Texture in KOSC lots

Hello,

I recently downloaded MGB's Diagonal Filler Set and MGB's Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) for Gobias Sudden Valley as well as a lot of other mods. I attached a screenshot of the list of mods that I downloaded along with MGB's Diagonal Filler Set and MGB's Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) for Gobias Sudden Valley.

I decided to remove MGB's Diagonal Filler Set and MGB's Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) for Gobias Sudden Valley mods because I did not like how the grass looked.

I saw that some of my props were missing after I removed the MGB's Diagonal Filler Set and MGB's Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) for Gobias Sudden Valley mods. I reset the detail level to low and then back to high and my props were restored. However, I saw that some of my grass textures were missing, like in @kingofsimcity's Young Happy Park and BSC Myrtle Park. Prior to downloading the mods, KOSC's Young Happy Park and BSC Myrtle Park were displaying correctly.

I suspected that either MGB's Diagonal Filler Set or MGB's Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) for Gobias Sudden Valley were causing the issue but after removing the mods, the textures are still missing. I downloaded all the dependencies for the KOSC mod but the issue persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since you are using Gobias Sudden Valley Terrain MOD, that is what's causing this, because when a lotter uses the original MAXIS textures making a lot, then those are overwritten by the former mentioned MODs and you'll get those other colored textures (coming from the MOD that overrides the MAXIS textures). So the textures are NOT missing, they're overridden by the MOD. There are also MOD extensions out there, that will override let's say the BSC textures as well. like the one made by rsc204.
So, what to to?! Eh, there are two things you can do about it:

a) Re-lot the affected lots in LotEditor / PIM-X and replace the affected textures (MAXIS or BSC) with textures, that match the rest and won't be changed by the Terrain MOD;
b) remove the Terrain MOD, that's changing MAXIS textures

That's it, as far as I can think.

Kind regards!

Gobias' SV Terrain comes with the following optional file, SV Base Textures.dat. The idea being to make the lot grasses better match the altered terrain mod. You can think of TGN as a mod to build upon this foundation, to add the same grasses to make everything more uniform. If that's not for you, you should remove the aforementioned file and all lot textures will return to the originals. However, you might want to reconsider removing the diagonal filler set, since that doesn't alter any textures whatsoever, it should be useful for all players.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
