I don't know if this is allowed or not, but I'd like to share my thoughts on what I'd like for CS2, that is, if it comes out.

Asterisks mark ideas that I'm not sure of.

  • All the features of vanilla CS1
  • The ability to port maps from CS1 into CS2
  • Region Play a la SC4*
    • The ability to connect different saves*
    • Marking land for AI-made cites**
  • Tools, such as erosion, from SC4
  • Overhangs
  • When making a map, you have to check whether the highways are right-handed or left-handed, so that when you switch it on a map, the directions of the highways get reversed
  • The ability to rotate the entire map 90°
  • The ability to draw two highways going in opposite directions at once
  • The ability to change lane directions in the map editor
  • Better Zoning
    • Support for non-rectangular lots
    • Zone placement at the end of roads and cul-de-sacs for more zoning
    • Having lost go behind other lots and buildings
    • Medium Density
    • Mixed Use Zoning
      • Residential/Commercial: Medium and High Density
      • Residential/Office: Medium and High Density
      • Commercial/Office: Medium and High Density
      • Residential/Commercial/Office: High Density
      • Commercial/Industrial: Medium Density*
      • Office/Industrial: Medium Density*
    • High Density can occupy up to 8 x 8 lots
    • The farming system of the Industries DLC
  • Some of the modded roads
  • Road Anarchy in a limited form
    • Realistic off-ramps without going crazy
  • TM: PE
  • A sort of co-op or vs mode (NOT full-on multiplayer) ********
  • The ability to change latitude per map
  • Seasons*
  • Trams in the vanilla game
  • The ability to make cims follow them throughout their lives a la SC4
  • Setting percent taxes for districts
  • Traffic AI that won't make the cars pile into one f%$@ing lane!
  • The ability to designate areas as parks a la the Parklife DLC
  • Flash floods, if they include disasters
  • Epidemics, if disasters are included
  • A sort of slum system*
    • A desirability system for well-off people*
    • Gentrification
    • Abandoned buildings can be re-occupied
      • Conversely, squatters can live there without paying taxes. The building will still have no level
    • Underfunded buildings look dilapidated
    • Under funding prisons causes more repeat felons
  • Protests, usually caused by unfair policies, which can block traffic and disrupt the city

I hope this goes well. If you'd like to comment on it or add to it, go ahead.
