Hello fellow citizens !

I recently did updates on two of my roads and jah, they went totally south ! :/

How did I do the updates ?

                                                     - subscribing to the asset;

                                                     - loading it in to the road editor:

                                                     - changing some things;

                                                     - press save (nothing was overwritten, it just saved as a seperate file with exactly the same filename as the original);

                                                     - I then went to steam, hit update and pasted the new file in to the content folder;

It seems as if some internal prefab names have changed during the update. The different "elevations" were equipped with a "0" within the name before and now they have a "1".

(for example:   Asset missing: 1707061991.Tram Track Elevated0)

I then browsed to the workshop to see if anybody else run in to the same problems as I did. I found out that AmiPolizeifunk had the same problem with his "Strasse des 17. Juni".

I took the information I found on his assets page and used ModTools to browse through the internals of the tracks, but I wasn´t able to find a differnce between the original

version and the updated one.

The image below shows the internal prefab names of the updated version.

I finally rolled everything back to the original version, which I saved before I did the update. But that is just a short term solution. I really have to do these updates ... there are some things

which needs to be fixed.

So what did I do wrong ? I hope anybody of you can help me with that ! Thanks in advance !

It's a bug and CO is aware of the issue.

The game goes back and forth between adding a 0 or adding a 1 to the end of network prefab names on bridge, elevated, tunnel, and slope segments. You can see it in modtools here:

Tool Controller->NetTool->NetInfo->NetAI

See how it says "Bike1" at the end of the bridge segment prefab name (Slope1 on slope, Tunnel1 on tunnel, etc)? If I updated it once, it would say "Bike0" and it would not be found in people's savegames. If I updated it twice, it would be back to "Bike1" and it would work again. This is what you have to look for.

    I think it would be useful assuming CO won't fix this bug (which has existed since road editor was introduced).
