I just installed NAM for SimCity 4 Mac, I followed every instruction to the letter, and when i create a city and give it a name and click "Create" the game freezes permanently. Any clues of what is going on?

Speaking as a NAM developer, it's very hard to know where to start with a problem like this. None of the main developers have a lot of experience with Macs and I have not previously heard of others experiencing such a catastrophic problem after installing the NAM.

One of the big problems with the Mac version of NAM is constant changes with versions of MacOS. Each new update seems to bring about a wrath of new problems, hence the need for workarounds just to install it. So when you say you followed "every instruction to the letter", I'd have to ask which instructions you used. Because depending on the version of MacOS / NAM / SC4 you are using, the instructions would be quite different.

If you temporarily remove the NAM folders from Plugins, does everything work fine? What happens if you open a previously saved city with NAM installed?

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Yes, I removed the NAM folders from plugins and it works fine again, but what you say has a lot of sense, and I am going to research a little bit for a version that matches my MacOS.
