Traffic lights on roads Euro vs. Vanilla

So people are reporting that the traffic lights on my new road aren't showing up on Vanilla maps, even if they have the "European/Vanilla" style enabled in the Content Manager. wtf game?

When I made the road I selected European->6-Lane Road w Bicycle lanes template. I used the European traffic light set which are the ones I wanted.

How to fix for vanilla? Any ideas?

I can't 100% confirm this...

but I believe the problem is that a road with vanilla traffic lights will automatically turn into European traffic lights on a European map, but a road with European traffic lights will not automatically change to vanilla traffic lights.

For a fix you can try changing the traffic lights to vanilla traffic lights, and it should still turn into European traffic lights on European maps. I know you don't want the vanilla traffic lights at all but I can't think of how else to fix the problem.

the only answer i can think of is make your own traffic lights props (an effort in itself - i have NO idea how to do it, i assume there's something with the illumination map or flags or something to get the lights changing). you can then make the props in temperate and have them as subscribed addons on steam and they'll load in both biomes

I made some a long time ago, never released them because Bloody Penguin said he would make a traffic light theme mod, where everybody could make and set their traffic lights...

I will make a CSLM article some day but for now:

Change the shader to traffic light:

Is there/could there be a traffic light theme mod? I might consider making custom traffic lights (and Berlin Ampelmännchen on crosswalks) if I could easily replace them into my map en masse.
