Can't get NAM to install

I am unable to get NAM to install on my Windows 10 computer.  Scrapped my CD versions, purchased from GOG but NAM won't install, it skips ever file.  Need massive help please.  Thanks in advance

I think you are confusing the installer log, because what it's telling you is simply that it can't build a custom controller, because Java is not installed on your system. This is because Java is used for the application that handles that, so the installer will skip these files. But, it should spit out a "default" controller, which is less optimised, but will work. Have you checked to see if the Network Addon Mod and z___NAM folders were added to your plugins folder? These should contain many files usually. Only if those are missing did the installer completely fail.

If you want a custom controller, simply install Java and re-run the installer.

Thank you for the reply, I figured out after 4 days of messing with this that my virus protection was blocking the install.  I got it working finally, now I just need to figure out how to use it.

I'm surprised that it didn't generate a blinking popup alarm that also invited you to upgrade to a more expensive version of the AV software
