What happened to the chat?

Is it just me or Simtropolis removed the chat feature?

Dirk has been working to find a good solution for chat. That last one we tested just bogged down the ST server too much. Here's the latest news: New: Discord Chat for Simtropolis

Should Discord become the chat client of choice (early signs are promising), we'll be adding back the tab on the navbar. There's also a strong possibility it'll allow the number of chatters to be displayed there like it did for IPS Chat. The data is regularly pulled from the Discord server, as can be seen from the sidebar block.

This would mean the previous chat software would be fully superseded by our Discord integration. Currently it's been disabled during this phase of testing.

Yes see this discord needs to be disconnected lol!! and go back to the simple way when you just click chat at top of page.    i have also clicked verify on top of chat, go to my email click verify then it goes to a solid gray screen and locks up, but i have already been verified???   thank and i will start a forum with this problem,,

I truly wish it could. However, that program is no longer available to us. (The provider removed it.) So, the Discord is our next best option.

I'm guessing since you were able to get into the chat it is verified. If not, then I'm confuzzled too as I know less about it than you do.
