It looks like you have two different city layouts in your images - one of concentric circles, and then another that's more rectilinear - or am I imagining it?

Still, I like the detail of your industrial bits - like your waterworks and power plant.

An interesting start.  Obviously you are putting some thought into what you are doing.

Best of luck.

Thanks!  I'm still just getting into doing detail work, but really enjoying it!

I do have two different layouts but its the same city.  I started with the circular layout but then was unhappy with how it looked and how it was handling the traffic.  So I scrapped it and changed to the rectilinear layout.  I tried to explain that in the album, but maybe wasn't clear enough.

Wow!  Great looking golf course.  There's a country club in the RL Jessamine area so I probably will be back asking for tips and suggestions.  Nice work.

  • I just realized I never posted my WB Botanical Gardens.  You can read all about it and see a tour video along with multiple screenshots on my blog:  https://www.czardus.com/2017/07/15/whitefish-bay-botanical-gardens/

I've started posting content on my blog directly as a way of archiving it for myself.  But also because quite frankly I've successfully monetized blogs in the past and if I can get this one to just generate enough to buy me a new graphics card or even more RAM, then I'd be super happy.

I'm sort of moving on to my Capilano Islands project, but may come back to Whitefish Bay from time to time.  I definitely plan to make some cinematic tours and maybe finish / clean up some of the various areas in WB yet before I officially start the game in CI, so stay tuned for those.

Eh, I can't resist posting a couple teaser shots here.  Please visit my site for the rest, though!

Peaceful "nice place" sort if feeling.  It would be good to see more of Whitefish Bay at some point, yes.

    As you requested...

This is my first narrated video - a tour of Whitefish Bay as a whole.  If there's any specific part you'd like to see more of, let me know!

Oh, and ignore the baby gurgles in the background.  :)

  • In this video, I take a look at the new Cities Skylines Concerts DLC.  We build a festival area near Whitefish Bay University, I do some detailing around it to make it look nicer, and then we hold the first concert.

This Cities Skylines series has periodic detailing project episodes.

Please visit the corresponding page on my blog for screenshots and the story of the city's development: https://www.czardus.com/whitefish-bay/

I have become more familiar in 3Ds Max and even gained enough expertise in it over the past few months that I think my skill level is approaching a point where I think I am good enough to start making mods for Cities: Skylines. I started practicing in 3DsMax to make brick rowhouses for the game Banished but since I am more interested in Cities: Skylines now and my buildings were practice so I can mod C:S, I decided to start a new project of making buildings just for Cities: Skylines.

I whipped this building up over the course of 4-7 hours today. It would have taken only 1 or 2 hours had I not made a ton of mistakes that required me to start from the beginning.

It will normally grow on a 4 tile wide x 3 tile deep lot with the ability to grow on a 4x4 lot with a backyard.
FYI, I plan on making a ColorMask for the outer 2 rowhouses so it could have more variety (bright red, pink, tan, and whitewashed).

Please give me feedback to help me improve the quality of my creations.

        Thank you!

Hello everyone. This will be my custom content showcase and workshop thread. In all the years I been a member here, I never uploaded any content but enjoying great work by other members. I take this opportunity to say Thank You to all content makers for making our city building experience so enjoyable. I feel that making content is overdue for me and I want to give back to the community. I have some buildings and trees that I will be showing in upcoming updates to this thread. I will also be asking for advice and help.

So I figured I might as well make a topic here, as this is most likely not gonna be the last time I ask for you guys' oppinion.  If I remember, I'll post WIP and releases of my buildings here.
My current project is a bus depot that fits the european theme and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out - but I've ended up with two sizes of it and I just can't decide which I like the best and could see myself using both. So I'd love some feedback - which you prefer or if it makes sense to upload both of them.
The small one is about the same size as the default one and has the same stats. The large one has slightly higher stats, but as depots can spawn infinite busses there's no benefit to the bigger one. I purely made it this large as the ones I took inspiration from were this size or bigger.
        Picture time!
