BTM is glitched out on diagonals. If functions perfectly, but visually... echh.

Is there any way to fix this?

Yes, use a smoother slope. Ideally, install a slope mod for Monorail, which prevents these problems.

This is because the models, unlike textures, can not adjust to bumpy terrain without colliding with each other. Think that each tile is a separate model and they need to line up well or this happens.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

any reason why it looks like a piece of the track is missing? ?

Yes, that relates to my previous answer. If the textures were actually missing, the diagonals connected to it would be missing it too. In essence, models are split into different segments, called groups. One of the lower groups for the track bed is being pushed higher, but the actual tracks are not, so the track bed is shown instead of the rails.

This problem can occur with BTM even on a gentle slope, although it's less pronounced. Something to do with the complexity of the models used, which are some of the most detailed (high polygon count) of any ever used with SC4. In fact, no one seems to know how Moonlight managed to get the BTM and El-Rail models to even work. Since to all extents and purposes, they break the limit allowed for 3D models in respect of the Poly/Tri count.
