Need Help to Escape SC Devotion Ban

I posted to SC Devotion mentioning "hacking" to describe early game mods back in the hex-edit days (I should have said "modding"). Somebody there saw the word "hacking" and banned me from the site permanently. I do not crack copy protection; I only change game mechanics. However, because of the ban, I can't even write to the SC-Devotion owners to explain the misunderstanding. Does anyone here know the moderators / owners there well enough to get my ban lifted (or at least get them to talk to me)?

Can you please elaborate on what topic you where referring to and how long ago this occurred?  That may be a case to enable you to get membership again. Of course it is out of my hands but we have users from SC4D using this site, (myself being one of them) and Tarkus is the main administrator there and sometimes comes over here to answer NAM questions. That may help although I do not know when the post was. He may have more of an idea about circumstance.

I can pass on the message but those are the limits of my powers.

As I said (elsewhere), try PM'ing @Tarkus with the relevant details, and he can go about addressing your case. Like Eggman121 said he's the main admin for SC4D nowadays, and he is fairly active there as well as here at ST (mostly for NAM support).

To answer questions from the curious:

I signed up for SCDevotion in 2013. I wrote a profile description inadvertently using the word "hacking" to describe my long history of modding games back in the days of hex-editing EXE and saved-game files (which I still do for such venerable titles as Railroad Tycoon II Platinum).

I received my perma-ban less than 24 hours after registering.  I never even had a chance to post to any thread. I tried to appeal the verdict, but my IP address was so thoroughly blocked that I couldn't even write to admin, "contact us" or feedback. A month or so later, I discovered Minecraft and got distracted...

I am happy to be back. I hope I can add my software development experience (and out-of-box thinking) to SC4.
