How to un-dispatch Helicopters.

Hey peeps, can anyone enlighten me on something...

Last night in one of my test regions was messing about and dispatched some police helicopters. However, now I have the little dispatch icons in my city and they won't go away . It seems that I shouldn't have saved the city having done this, bugger!

Is there any way to cancel these dispatches. I kinda knew I shouldn't have saved, but it was stupid late when I finished and just wanted my computer off. I'd prefer not to have to restore my backup if at all possible, even though I have one. I'd appreciate any advice .

Sorry for rushing to ask for help, the solution was remarkably simple, I just bulldozed the Police HQs and rebuilt them - Problem Solved .

To save on having to bulldoze and rebuild the station, you can also move the dispatch paddle back to where it came from. Sometimes that works that way and sometimes it doesn't. I'm suspecting it has to with a glitch built into the game's operating structure. The fire tanker behaves kind of the same way where once it's dispatched it won't come down. I never call in the police chopper even when I have the Lots Of Riots mod installed since cars take care of them just fine.
