Cloning with the reader

I would like to clone a model file with automatic IID stepping. 

My project is automata rail cars. I would like to create multiple copies of the same model, as individual .dats, but with individual incremental IID's. I've been searching for this knowledge. I haven't been able to find this information so far. From my searching, this sounds possible, but I haven't found it yet. I thought I should throw up a post in case someone has experienced this and can point me in the right direction. I know I can manually create these. I was hoping maybe someone might have done this and have knowledge about how the reader can automate this task. It would save a lot of time. 

I understand this isn't a common request. I just thought I would throw a bait in the water hoping to catch a helpful response.

Whether this is a reader function, or I could write a script. Any ideas would be very appreciated.

Yes the Reader has a clone function. Simply select the files you wish to clone, right-click, and choose 'clone file'. Now a window will pop-up where you can specify how many clones you want and how the TGI should be incremented for the clones. For example if the original file IID ends at 0, and you make 5 clones which increment by 3 the clones IID will end at 3,6,9, C & F respectively.
