Weird graphical bug.

This just happened.

Hardware rendering, in windowed with custom resolution on stam. windows 10. I removed the resolution and windowed parameters and replaced them with fullscreen but fullscreen didnt do anything, and i played with the weirded out parameters and it was fine. any ideas?

Likely a DirectX compatibility problem, this is common with modern hardware, since SC4 was coded for DirectX 7, which a lot of newer hardware/setups can simply no longer viably support. Since such compatibility issues are a combination of the physical hardware (Graphics Card), OS version, Direct X and/or revision of your video card driver there is no simple fix. But you could try for example, installing older video drivers which may better support backwards compatibility. Bear in mind if this does make SC4 work better, it could have the opposite effect for newer games, since newer drivers are better optimised for them.

You might therefore be better off sticking with Windowed mode when playing. At least your setup supports DirectX rendering, some modern systems must be ran in software rendering, which is a less than ideal experience.
