Hi Im having some trouble with my RRW mod. Ive just changed to RRW and noticed that there are no wide curves, well actually there is but my old rail texture. In the rail menu there are the new rrw thumbnails but when plopping it the old ones appears.

Someone knows the answer? Some old mod laying around or so, causing this?  HELP

So, you have RRW installed, and I think something is changing your textures. Nothing to worry about. Few options:

1. You have to be sure NOT to install any other components regarding railway. Under "Additional Features and Customizations," all of the "Rail Texture Style" options should be unticked.

2. Check your Plugin folder for old railway mods, like PEG 205 mod or anything you were using. I am almost certain it is not compatible with RRW.

Hope that helps somehow :)

The WRCs should be automatically over ridden with the RRW textures installed, just like the other pieces. So if you are not seeing them, that suggests you have some old texture override still installed that's loading after the NAM.

PEG's 205 rail mod shouldn't be the issue, since it doesn't include the WRCs. But an add-on as part of the Japanese NAM Facelift Mod could be the culprit. This is named Alternate Railway Mod Add On.

Otherwise, perhaps you have Rivit's RUM installed? Again this would override the NAM files. Actually, you should get the updated RUM for RRW, which helps with compatibility for RRW.

Likewise any other mod that similarly replaces the rail textures could also be the problem here. But you can limit your search for problems to those folders that load after z___NAM, since that's where the problem must be.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Ok thanks alot guys! I will keep on lookin for the plugin causing this. I know now that it has to do with elecrification of the wide curves and intersection pieces, since when I remowed the canentary props the old texture are still there but boxes showing.

But thank you for the help

An electrification mod wouldn't cause the problem, and as you noticed, removing the props doesn't solve anything. What you'd need to remove is the T21 mod that actually places the props onto the tracks, and even then it wouldn't help, because T21s have nothing to do with the textures you're seeing. T21s don't affect network textures, just the props that appear on the various networks. You can safely add that mod back in. I doubt it will work properly with the RRW, but the only glitch you should be seeing with an electrification mod is a lack of the T21 mod showing up, since the RRW IIDs have changed (I think), and it won't cause texture discrepancies.

A quick picture would help; the RUM (outdated version) is probably the culprit, but only if you haven't updated it to the RUM for RRW, which Rivit was quick to make.

Also make sure that you don't install any other texture mods via the NAM installer if you are using the RRW, as these interfere with the proper operation of the RRW.
