SC4 small graphic problem windows 8

I have downloaded SC4 from Steam and everything works fine (intro, graphics when on region...). But when i'm playing, i noticed a little problem. For example, when I put a large flower garden, the grass and the paths appears, but i see no "building" and it is the same thing for a lot of buildings. I tried to put a picture of what I mean but it doesn't work. I can play the game, it is fast and everything, except this frustrating graphic "bug".

I have an ASUS laptop AMD C-60 APU with a Radeon HD 6290 graphic card.

I run SC4 on 1 core and on the "Windows 7 version"

I don't know what to do to resolve this problem and I really want to play this game!

Firstly, the example lot, the Large Flower Garden does not have a building. Technically It does - but the one for this lot is designed to be invisible. Are there props missing from the lot, a screenshot would really help us see the problem more clearly.

Before you begin troubleshooting, check in Graphics Options you have set Detail to High, by default this may not be the case, which would perhaps explain the problem. If that doesn't help, then I'd go through the checks listed here, which should get you up and running.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Just press F9 to bring up the graphics options. Under "City Detail" set it to high, this happens if you have it set on low. Remember you need to restart the game to see the changes.

If your installation of SC4 has defaulted to low city detail, more than likely SC4 has failed to correctly identify your Graphics Card. This is a problem with ATI GPUs especially, you may need to manually tell SC4 about your videocard to get better performance from the game. See here for how to do this.

Thanks for the reminder.  The new box of tricks I am getting has an ATI GPU.

EDIT: And runs without any adjustments.  Very quick, and with the SSD you can hardly believe how fast things load.
