Interesting. But my main concern with films today is the quality of writing (which is usually forgotten). I hope they polished the script this time.

Trailer looks great.  It felt like Star Wars, it looked like Star Wars.  I think director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla 2014) knocked it out of the park.

With Star Wars you really have to suspend your disbelief when it comes to space ships.  The most economic vessel for space would be a sphere.  Least surface area for greatest volume.  All these things that look like WW II Battleships with barnacles are nice to look at but would be a tough job to maintain life support in.  Doc Smith got it right with Skylark of Space, but it is too much of a space opera even for Hollywood.

Well then, time to counter the rebel propaganda with some footage of our brave imperial troops fighting these militant lunatics and dealing them a heavy blow. 

 

All kidding aside, I've seen the trailer and I'm getting a little excited. I really loved the Force Awakens, so I'm curious to see how this will turn out. 

Also, Star Wars is Fantasy, so yeah of course you have to suspend your disbelief. Its never meant to be an accurate portrayal of intergalactic warfare or space travel.
