[Solicitude] Median Bus Stops

Hey everybody! I'm trying to find some Avenue median bus stops for my BRT system. We already have "Bus Only" Lanes, Bus Blockers for fixed paths ,RTMT Stations that provide stations in the two sides of the road/avenue, but not median bus stops. I think its possible to do using the old Tram-in-avenue stations method, that were puzzle pieces transit enabled. Thank you all!

I don't think such a thing exists, I have searched it myself. I have even found bus automatas that resemble Mexico city's BRT system! but no luck with median stations, that's a shame, because most of the stations on the system are in the median.

From what I understand, making a station that only allows buses to pass trough the inner lanes and allows all traffic to pass trough the outer lanes would need advanced modding, the kind that the NAM team does, so your best bet would be to reach out to them.

I have a couple of ideas, but maybe there is some limitation that I'm not aware of. You could make a 2x2 (or 3x2 or 4x2) lot, put a tram station BAT in the median and avenue textures for the four lanes (all this in the lot editor) transit enable the piece in SC4 Tool, and then mod it somehow (I'm not an expert ) to only allow buses and pedestrians to pass trough the whole piece. You will end up with four bus only lanes, but maybe this is realistic, since many BRT systems have overtake outer lanes for express lines.

I may try to do this myself some day, but I'm currently busy with other projects and RL.

Another option, although this will definitely require the NAM team's expertise would be to use the paths for the AVE-2 in the NWM, it is a road with a median in the middle that may allow for a tram station BAT to fit, modding it to be a station shouldn't be that hard.

So definitely reach out to the NAM team, and let's hope we can get adequate BRT stations someday!

That's an great Idea,and I think (almost) exactly like you, but I think we can do that easier. We already know that Bus Lanes are not possible at this moment (What we have now is "Bus only roads") so we don't have to worry about another traffic, because the only way to do a BRT system is to have a TE lot, which blocks everything except buses. And yes, that's what I'm looking for, an 4 lane transit enabled piece for the station. In real BRT's, we can use that for an capacity boost, from 15000/pass/h/lane to 40000/pass/h/lane, because express, direct and semi-direct services, that cannot be possible with the station in the main lane.
