Not sure how to upload

So I just created... let's just say it's a big ass region. Anyway, I am not sure how to upload it onto the STEX so I can share it with the community (if anyone wants it that is). I searched for a "how to" but couldn't find it. Do I just upload the region folder? You download it and it will work? Thank you for your help.

It's against site rules to upload a region with development upon it, this is due to the file size and problems with dependencies at that scale.

Assuming however that you just have a region map that you wish to share, this would be OK. If you have used either SC4 Terraformer or some other tool you should be able to save the region as a SC4M file which can be uploaded to the exchanges. For example in SC4 Terraformer open the region and select File --> Create a Region and follow from there.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Ok thank you. There is no development on the region. I just finished creating it. I will try your route and see what happens. I had to do the region in separate regions in SC4T then load them to the main region so I might have a problem there because SC4 Terraformer won't load the main region because it is bigger than 64x64 which SC4T can't handle. Well Shoot. Let's see if this works lol.

I've no idea of the limitations on size with SC4T, since that's the tool I would use to merge regions together in the first place. If indeed it is 64x64 how can you make that a single region in SC4? If you've managed to combine them, pass the instructions along with your uploaded maps and others should be able replicate it as intended. Perhaps one of the other mapping tools is able to get past this limit? This question might be better answered on SC4D where some of the more hardcore players congregate.

Well what I did was create it state by state (province by province for Canada) then imported into the main map. The only reason I even rendered it city by city was because I didn't realize there was no way to actually upload my region as it is in my SC4. However, I ended up opening the main region in SC4 mapper then saved the SC4M file as you suggested.

However, thanks to you, I have successfully uploaded my first file onto the STEX. Not the way I originally had planned but I did offer to e-mail the zipped file to anyone that wanted it. Big thank you to you for helping me out on this.
