Hey, I just found you CJ and now this thread, and WOW!!!

Please put me down to be one of the soon to be many to send the link to your downloads.

Can't wait to be able to use these in my cities, I just need to remember to credit everyone that I've downloaded when I finally get my own cj up.

    Having built some big and detailed lots (not yet released) myself, I can guess just how incredibly much work and time must have been spent on placing and arranging all those props, not to mention the thought that went into the layout of the complex. Congratulations on this lot! This is really about as good as lots can get, which is seriously good. 44.gif

    @T Wrecks: I also spotted Mathe Man's wind tunnel. 1.gif And since I also spent quite a lot of time with the Lot Editor, I can imagine the amount of work that has gone into a lot of this size. It looks very realistic and well crafted, excellent work (and definitely worth the amount of additional dependencies 2.gif ).

    If it's not too uch trouble I'd like to request some of your lots. they're the ones with the red x's. Along with the ones with the x's I'd like to get the ship building lots and the chemical plant. In the following picture what water mod are you using?

    in the previous picture I'd like to get the ones with the x's as well, even though I have a hospital ship hikawamaru lot, but Id like to make my own with a hospital on the lot, and yours would be a perfect base for mine.

    Thanks everyone for the complements!

    Dupontfan24 ~ Most of those lots are not available yet. Anyway I sent you a PM with the link to the Palmer Shipbuilding lots. The Chem Plant you will get on the next upload ~ which might be awhile but I'll make sure you get it.
    Anyway folks I will be spending the next few weeks working on the Modular Amusement Park Project. Be sure to check out my work there or in my new CJ Ampark City. Just scroll down to my sig for the links.
     
    In the meantime I was hoping some of you might load up some pics of how you used the lots in your cities. That would be cool!

    MPM all I have to say is amazing, simply amazing, I hope you release tose ship yards, they are very cool too, and the theme park is looking well I continue to drool on my keyboard. Thanks for all the hard work and please keep it up.

    Also, welcome to SYM_Productions, I'm one of the lotters there, now I 'll have to work even harder to make my lots look good, since you'll be making great ones!

    I just wanted to say you congratulations for the great and incredible rail yard !!!. It is really awesome. I only hope that something that hapened to me does not happen to you. When I was making some custom lots for my old airport in SCR, I arrived to a point where the lot did not accept more props. There was no warning message. Only when I reopened a saved custom lot, many props and textures were missing. Since this time I always save several times any big custom lot I work with. Of course I just keep the last one 2.gif
     
    Btw, some of GH ships can be seen today in Simtropia

    Great job on the train yard.
    One problem though. I do not see any of the parked train cars after I place it. What am I missing. 42.gif

    jeronij ~ Thanks ~ maybe I'll get to see it in Simtropia! As for the LE I already had that happen to me. What I did was remove the lot from the plugins folder and opened up the LE. After viewing a file or so I closed out the LE and moved the lot back into the plugins folder. This worked very well.

    davidchomes ~ Swamper is right on. If you have any more troubles please feel free to post them.

    OK here are some pics of my latest lot. It is designed to fit in with the MAPP. It will probably be a special release though as the lots for the MAPP need to be more user friendly and flexible. This lot will still be the basis for the upcomming monorail stations for the project.
     
    Southgate Monorail Station with eye candy Maxis buildings: This station is transit enabled to work in conjunction with the PED mall tiles from the NAM.

    @MasterPlanMan: I took a closer look at your railyard and freight station lot today, and I found some things that should be added/corrected in your lot. First of all, there are two street textures missing on the lot (it's not a Maxis texture, as you stated in the STEX comments). Please open the lot in the Analyser/Importer in SC4Tool, select it in the list on the left side and open the dependencies tab. As you can see in the second screenshot, there are two texture IDs that are missing on my system; when you scan the lot, the appropriate filenames should show up. I also think the transit switch properties should be adjusted a bit, please refer to the third screenshot how to set them up properly.

    Thank you Andreas! I am glad you took the time to do this.

    I will change the transit switch right away. I really thought they where maxis textures as they matched up with the streets perfectly.
    That SC4 tool sure is awesome!!!

    Hi MPM,

    Maybe I should post over in the amusement park thread? Anyway, since you posted pics here... I like the park gate w/monorail station idea. Looks like the entrance to the real Magic Kingdom. Peg's gatehouse looks perfect for the job. Don't forget, he's got the Portico de Gramado too, which looks about the same but is green.
     
    However, why clutter the lot with functionless Maxis buildings? It makes it look like something slapped together and uploaded to the SimCity.com exchange. An amusement park entrance needs a bus lane, kiosks and vending carts, 1-2 storey shops and restaurants, mascots in giant foam rubber costumes, ticket queues, fountains, flags and tons of open space to handle huge crowds passing through on foot, not to mention some discreet fencing and security to make sure people go through the ticket gate to get in.

    @Swamper77: Thanks for pointing me to the texture file. I already had it installed, but obviously an outdated version.

    @MPM: You're welcome. Actually, it was GoaSkin who mentioned that the transit switching didn't work right, but since he can't use SC4Tool with his Mac, he asked me for looking what's wrong. He also informed me that it works fine now.

    pnorrell ~ I here you about the maxis buildings. I already made some changes to that lot and toned it down a bit. I will post some pics in a little while. Remember this station gate is for the hotel & condo district and will be an add-on release to the pack. I am also workiing on the main gate which is going to have all the things you mentioned we are even adding lighted letter sign poles to indicate the parking sections. I'll check out Portico de Gramado as well but these gates are only temps we are going to BAT our own.

    Andreas ~ thanks! ~ I will shoot him over a PM and thank him personally. You were still a great help though as I now know what I was doing wrong with the switching so all my future lots now will be perfect. I also added switches so trucks can pass straight through. Before the tool came out I used to just cut and paste the maxis switches so I never had any problems.

    So do I need to download the freight yard again? If so can I get a new link?
    Or if that last pic of Andreas Roth's shows how everything should be set then I can just do that myself to the version I've already downloaded...

    JaneJacobs ~ downloding the updated station would be fastest because its such a small file. Just copy and paste it to your plugins folder and you should get a prompt asking if you want to replace the file.
    Utilizing the SC4 tool would give you some practice so its up to you. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

    wow ur lots are great!44.gif The railyard is awesome (I love RR stuff), something that was really needed in SC4. the night light effects are well, unbelievable.
    Could you let me know when or if the ship yard would become available!

    MPM, your rail yard is astounding! And I have to say, that night enhanced is such an understatement! They look amazing!

    Is it just me or are your street lights alot brighter than usual? How did you do this, can we download a mod of that or something? And I just love your multi coloured lights.

    However, I have one question.  This is a test I ran in game to test the function of the station. As you can you see in the picture (sorry, too new to the post, don't know how to put photos in the post), the passenger station (P_station) close to the residential area (top left) cannot see both P_stations to the right side of the Freight station (F_station).  Even though I can see P-trains run through the F_station, but my passengers have to walk all the way from the P_station to the left side of the F_station to the one at the right side, in order to get to the other side of the town.  I had all the Bat and props (only missing the Maxis BAT)--oops, looks like I missing some industrial building too. I just got the game :-)
