MPMs Night Enhanced Lots

I figured I would start a thread showcasing my lot work. All my lots are enhanced to look more brilliant and realistic at night along with plenty of small details. All are transit enabled to various degrees. I offer most of these lots as rewards to those who follow my CJ. This thread will provide techinical help and list dependencies with links to them.

Some of these lots will not be offered on the STEX due to the large number of dependencies and will only be available by e-mail. Requests for the lots can be made here or in my Glen Harbor CJ. Please do not PM me for the lots. After I see your post in one of the threads I will PM you requesting an e-mail address to send the lost to.

My lots are detail oriented and some contain props that can no longer be found ~ these props will be included in each zip file.

Anyway here is my latest creation using the LE.

Palmer Ship-Building Co. Lot 1 of 2:

This is what I started with ~ a Japanese Navy Lot from a modeler named Aviation Club Member. The original lot and models are no longer available for download and I aquired them through a trade.

<ahttp://img208.imageshack.us/img208/2272/bp594ri.jpg align=baseline>

First I added some night lighting to the ganty crane and some maxis building props to one side of the lot:

<ahttp://img528.imageshack.us/img528/8124/bp612wp.jpg align=baseline>

Some more details:

<ahttp://img521.imageshack.us/img521/6229/bp620dm.jpg align=baseline>

Some more Japanese props and it was all downhill from there ~ below are the final results:

<ahttp://img530.imageshack.us/img530/2597/bp723zz.jpg align=baseline>

<ahttp://img235.imageshack.us/img235/6429/bp699ls.jpg align=baseline>

This lot is the first of 2 and will be released  when both are completed and tested.

Here are some pics of some of my past creations:

MPM Franklin D Roosevelt Station

MPM Chemical Complex:

Hope you all enjoy my work so far and I look forward to any feedback or questions!

Cheers!

I'm not sure that this is the proper forum for displaying your work (I seem to remember that it is the BAT Open Discussion forum) but this work is absolutely amazing.  Is there any chance that I could get a copy of the MPM Chemical Complex in a 1024x768 resolution?

    Thanks for commenting Voar Tok!

    All the work you see done here was done in the LE not the BAT so I am pretty sure this post belongs here.

    Not sure what you mean by 1024x768 resolution. Do you want a pic that size? I took the pics from my game with it set at the highest res there is.

    I can't believe that you made all of that with the lot editor!44.gif

    The reason why I wanted to know what size the picture was taken at was because I wanted to use it as my desktop wallpaper.  I tried to use the picture that you included in your post, but it was a little bit stretched out.  If you have a picture of it that is 1024x768 or 1280x1024 (or something in between) that would be great.44.gif  Obviously, that picture would be too big post on the forums, so if you could send me a link, that would be most appreciated.

    In your last picture of the entire waterfront, what is the name of the brick wall lots you have lining the side of your rail tracks? I have seen that lot in other city journals, but am unable to find it on the STEX.

    I have done searches for walls, retaining wall, etc. but haven't found that particular one.

    Hello MPM,

    I just wanted to say thank you for the lots 29.gif, and now looking at those great pictures, I want to add my congratulations for such a nice looking and professional work. Since I have some experience making custom lots 2.gif, I understand the hard work behind those, and also the dependancies matter. I dont mind, consider me suscribed to your naval lots 44.gif  !!!

    Hi MPM - Just noticed the thread. Good idea separating the custom lots from the CJ. You can focus on the individual items here and the wider showcase of their use in the CJ. Pics are eye-popping as usual. Neat seeing the progression of your work too. I didn't realize quite how much you had changed the original lot until seeing these.

    Needless to say, sign me up for the distribution list. BTW - in case you didn't know http://www.yousendit.com  is a convenient way to send large files. You can upload files up to 1G and then just distribute the download link. It asks you for the email address of the recipient(s) at the beginning, but you don't have to put one in - just upload the file to the server and then PM people the link.

    Thank you everyone for the nice comments! Looks like this thread was a good idea!

    Voar Tok ~ Thanks! Hope the pics worked out! Look forward to seeing your CJ and congrats on the Trixie!

    jarnomiedema ~ Good to see you stop by my friend and congrats on your award! I have you marked down for the lots.

    0tep ~ Thanks for commenting. Glad you like the lots and I have you marked down.

    jeronij ~ Thank you for taking the time to comment and congrats on your Trixies! I really dig your BAT work so far! Hope you enjoy the Seikan Ferry Terminal lot and I have you listed for the others!

    jacqulina ~ Yet another Trixie winner ~ congrats and nice to see you here!

    pnorrell ~ Nice to see you stop in! I have you listed for the lots. I tried that service ~ the problem is the link expires after a week and that makes it more of hassle for me. My e-mail service stores files indefinately so all I have to do is foward earlier messages. I just can't go over 3 MBs per file.

    Sorry everyone the ship-building lots are not ready yet. I am very busy preparing for a trip and should be back by the end of next week. I will then get them ready as soon as possible ~ maybe by next friday!

    Until then peeps don't be bashful ~ if there is something here you like just ask. Feel free to make requests for upcoming lots as well!

    Cheers,
    ~MPM

    Aviation Club Member's ships were amazing...!  I found out about them ONE WEEK after he shut down his site... I was so distraught!

    You've done some great working putting nice looking piers and other lots along with the ships.  IMO, that was always what was missing.  The piers and shipyards just didn't quite have the flair and attention to detail that you're giving them now.  Keep up the good work!!

    Things are going pretty good for me although I have been away from SC4 for awhile due to the transit strike during the week. As a result I am spending the holiday weekend in the big apple. Count me as one of the many that walked the Brooklyn Bridge to get to my job each day. The problem was those who were supposed to work with me could not get into Manhatten till well into the afternoon so here I am. I should be back home playing SC4 by later in the week and loading the ship-building lots is a high priority.

    Hello, MasterPlanMan.

    Your shipbuilding lots are really very well done.  Your attention to detail is excellent and I am quite excited at seeing how they can be used.  They certainly will bring a wonderful shot of commercial industrial business to any growing waterfront.

    I would very much appreciate your PMing me with a request for my e-mail address in order to download your wonderful work.

    Thank you, in advance.

    Regards,

    Vandy
