Ok what the heck.42.gif

Over tha last 30 min a big supercell had formed south of draton valley,ab and has a tornado sig in it.
And a whole crap load of severe storms have poped up on th foothills

I think i'm underestemating the power of this polar storm.

The severe t-storm warnings:
Tuesday 12 September 2006
Severe thunderstorm warning for
m.D. Of Brazeau near the Brazeau Dam continued
Yellowhead county near Cadomin and Robb issued
Clearwater county near Sunchild first nation continued

And the watchbox
Severe thunderstorm watch for
-Nordegg - Forestry Trunk Road Highway 734 issued
-Drayton Valley - Devon - Rimbey - Pigeon Lake issued
Rocky Mountain House - Caroline continued

At 7:50 PM MDT radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing hail to the size of quarters and wind gusts to 100 km/h. This severe thunderstorm was located about 10 kilometres east of the Brazeau Dam and moving eastward at 40 km/h.

Once the storm enters Clearwater county it is expected to remain primarily in northern portions of the county.

At 7:50 PM MDT Alberta forestry reported hail to the size of dimes 10 kilometres southwest of Lodgepole.
Another storm has now formed farther west, near marshybank ecological reserve. This storm also has the potential to produce hail to the size of quarters and wind gusts to 100 km/h. This storm is moving eastward at 40 km/h.

Thunderstorms are developing this evening on the foothills. Some of these storms have the potential to become severe, with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats. The threat of severe thunderstorms will end later this evening.

Apparently, a hurricane (Hurricane Gordon) is heading towards Ireland and Britain! But, unseasonably warm and sunny weather is expected (up to 28ºC/82ºF) before it hits, then tropical thunderstorms and winds of up to 145 km/hr (90mph)...34.gif

That ought to be interesting! 3.gif

Gosh jvlm.123, I sure hope that hurricane misses your city. 145kmh/90mph winds, thats not good! Better bring in the lawn chairs if you have any, or they will be flying over Siberia somewhere!

Its 61F yet again today, and cloudy one minute, sun peeks through the next. Got the lawn mowed between rain showers anyways.
