If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Skidmore, Owings and Merrill left the option open to make Burj Dubai taller even after construction began.  That would be a good reason why the final height has never been revealed officially.

 

That's what I was thinking too 

 

The only thing that is nice is it's massive height. Other than that, looks like a tall castle from blast from the past.

I take Burj Dubai anytime. Modeled from the Desert Flower, if you look at the floor plans itself.

 

 

Take a bunch of pencils, make sure some of them taller and some shorter, sharpen them hard enough, put them all in a bundle and there you have it

 

 

But I believe no structure in the World is ugly. It just doesn't looks good that's all.

no offence to the architects but it looks like something out of dungeons and dragons or someother magic movie, i would highly dout it would get given the final go ahead. its just my oppinion but i feel like throwing up when i see it.

This building will never be build. The idea came up a year ago but it's still a vision.

Can you really build a tower that's over 1 km tall? Wouldn't it like... break?
