      Curved space. Eladremme doomsday.

      Hard day at work. Tawnee came back home very tired.
    After having tea, she decided to curl up a little on her favourite sofa...:

    chap011_001.jpg

      and before she woked up...:

    chap011_002.jpg

    chap011_003.jpg

      There is something like a hole in the space and time. Everything in Eladremme become frozen. A time is stopped. A space is crumpled like a sheet of paper... Why this happens?
    Will it be forever? How to get Eladremmians back to life?

    stay tuned for the next update... if it will happen, huh...

      Actually, at this time i have no idea how to get rid of this graphic problem. I've got it after installing new graphic drivers for my video card... That was needed for the Sims 2.
    So, i'll try to find the way. I hope there is no need to reinstall SC4 15.gif

    Oh! I'm amazed with your support, guys, really!
    Pity, i didn't fix that problem with the graphics.
    But i will do it anyway cause i will need to test ingame my ultimate BAT project soon.. so, may be an update will occur someday :}

    To The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz: You're the best :} First who have got the idea of the name :}

    But i must say that i'm not british :} I just have a Cardigans LP name's Emmerdale. That's one of my favourite albums, so i've decided to create a region with this name, but Emmerdale sounds very usual to me, so.. :}

    In this case, the most of all names in Eladremme has a meaning.
    For example: Etsaw means waste :} Or Nitsua Ittap avenue that has a name after a great singer Patti Austin; Brubus Bridge at last :}

    Back to life. Expansion report.

    Well.. After a few days of chaos, everything become quite normal. Thanks to Blackwell Paranormal Research Center, those guys just found the way to bring our normal life back.
    Blackwell P.R.C. task group still tries to discover any consequences of this anomaly. But everything looks pretty good, and looks like there is no any deviations...

    Since anomaly was eliminated, Eladremme expansion was resumed, and now, Brubus Community is already finished.
    The goverment releases a Future Long-Term Expansion Plan:

    <ahttp://www.frogg.ru/sc4_pics/eladremme/chap012/chap012_001.jpg align=baseline>

    But as we have a Brubus Community finished, here are some pictures:

    <ahttp://www.frogg.ru/sc4_pics/eladremme/chap012/chap012_002.jpg align=baseline>

    The community has a general layout - v-like main complex:

    <ahttp://www.frogg.ru/sc4_pics/eladremme/chap012/chap012_006.jpg align=baseline>

    First large shopping mall in Eladremme:

    Eladremme Power Research has improved underwater hight-tension cabining method. All the Brubus Community elictrified that way:

    wow, those pictures are some of the best i have seen, so well done. everything else looks beautiful as well. i have two questions: first, how did you those expansion color things(if its photoshop, what did you pick to do it, im bad with photoshop so i dont know where anything is)? and second, how did you make those pictures so well rounded?

    Wow! Nice update and nice to see that the mad glitch was solved. I've said it numerous times but I really love this CJ! 19.gif I'm amazed by the symmetry of everything, all the open spaces, parks and trees, the transportation layout and all the little customs lots you made sometimes only for one specific purpose (like those lots at the base of the bridge with garage doors and graffitis). You have *a lot* more patience than me, congrats!

    From what I can see from those expansion plans, industries will take a major place in your region. You probably said it somewhere in the CJ, but does the region was intented to be industrial only or will it have some commercial and offices areas? Or maybe a small financial downtown with a couple of skycrappers?

    Also, did you manage to grow all the residential building or did you plop a couple of them. If they are all grown, well, you really have a lot more patience than me 18.gif

    Continue the good work!44.gif

    Oh, thank you all so much for your comments.36.gif
    Here are some answers.

    To ChicAgo333:

    first, how did you those expansion color things(if its photoshop, what did you pick to do it, im bad with photoshop so i dont know where anything is)? and second, how did you make those pictures so well rounded?

    Yes, i've done it wit Photoshop. But if you don't know where every thing is, i'm not sure that i can explain it to you in few words. But i'll try. I've done it using different semi-transparent coloured layers with layer effect inner glow for better representation. The same about rounded corners.. Try to search some tutorials through the net, there is a lot of useful info :}

    To Dr. Neitchskrimfrauwnmoya:

    No, not at all 1.gif Eladremme Region is pretty big, so industry area will take only a part of it. I'm not sure about skyscrapers but future city will have a downtown for sure :}

    Also, did you manage to grow all the residential building or did you plop a couple of them.

    All the residential buildins in this CJ are growed :} I've think about plop some, but they are not work correctly. By the way, in last update i've used custom growable residential lots. Those european-like houses with orange roof looks quite good but there is one trick - they have only 3 residents each 17.gif

    Question: How can you get the slope of the roads so smooth? They make a soft curve when sloping down and up, not a square curve.36.gif

    To J.O.: Read some senior posts here (there are some links) :} it's a BRF tunnel and slope mod. But sometimes i just enhance the slopes with terrain tools :}

    Ipsum Chemicals Plant.

    Today, i will show you some pctures of the newest chemicals plant, south of Etsaw P.U.O. District.
    It's an Ipsum Chemicals Plant. The first heavy industrial plant in the heavy industry expansion area:

    chap013_001.jpg

    But this is only a first part of the whole planned complex.
    The most intresting thing, is that the highway E-667 and Rubbrefo Rlw. branch line goes directly through the plant. So, people, who goes to the Etsaw by train, or bus, or car, may see impressive chemical tanks of Ipsum Chemicals Plant.

    Wow. This CJ is incredible Marrast. The attention to detail just makes this CJ stand out from every other CJ here at ST. Great work.

    PS: Does the underwater power cable actually carry power, or is it just eye-candy?

    I like your use of lots and parks, and just the amount of detail you put into each area of your city. But, to add a bit of constructive criticism, i feel your region looks too 'planned out' and unrealistic. If that was the effect you were going for, it looks great. Overall it is a very nice looking region.

    Thanks for the comments, guys! 44.gif

    To Mzd1001: Thank you! And yes, uderwater power cable really works. It's based on an ingame grass lot. As i know, all the lots (if they work well) can carry the power. That's why you don't need to strech the power lines every where in your cities.

    To Gobucks and Alakazam: Woah,  different opinions a bit 18.gif Actually, i didn't want to create realistic region. Eladremme is not an Earth based region. The concept is that is situated on another planet far far away from the Earth. Moreover, if you read some first updates, there you will find out, that the Earth is a doomed planet, that uses only as a colony for the criminals an outlaws from the newest worlds.  Eladremme is a region, that was compulsory formed, not just like the most of Earth regions, which has their own history from the first shed to hugest metropolis.

    That's why all you can see in this region is too planned out.
    But who knows, may be tomorrow Eladremme goverment will decide to create some non-planned areas, where the people will be able to build just like they want, with out a general layout :}

    Your large-scale layout of roads, industrial zones, but also the vast residential areas look so impressive --  I'd not really like to live in such ghettos, but it looks so real (even if that wasn't intended) and reminds me of the outskirts of many Eastern European cities.

    Maybe you wrote it somewhere in your journal, I haven't read all of it  -- if so, forgive me the following question:  Do you actually  wait for all those same buildings to grow or do you plop them?

    Anyway, cool journal, I see a lot things that are new to me!

    To Dannato: Thanks, man :} About ploppables. I usually plop all the kind of buildings if i need. Exept residetial ones. Ploppable housing not works well, so..

    The most ploppable kind of zone at this time in Eladremme is industrial. One of the reasons - growable lot can not be larger than 6x6, and in my industry area, i have some 9x15, 7x11, 3x12 lots...

    Wow, I really love the chemical plants, it looks so realstic. Where did you get those warehouse and the crane next to the rails? Those really help with the realstic of the chemical plant. Nice work! Keep it up!

    Oh-h, thank you, guys, for all your comments..
    But i have really bad news.

    BAD NEWS:

    The free hosting company has deleted both my accounts, that i've used to host pis for this CJ. All the pics are gone for now.  15.gif

    So, i see it this way:

    - forget about this CJ;
    - keep updating it with new pics hosted at another place;

    What you, guys, think?
