How do i take a screenshot in this game? Its driving me nuts...

f12 in steam dosent work. Although its clear that f12 takes a screenshot i cannot find it anywhere in any folder or screenshot manager in steam. Anyone else had any problems with this?

Hi,

 

One thing I can suggest is to make sure the Steam Overlay is enabled. This allows you to use Steam's functions whilst playing the game.

 

It can be toggled in your Steam Library > Cities: Skylines > Properties:

 

 

F12 should then be able to capture screenshots, and save them where the client's installed (by default in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\).

 

To quickly manage captured screenshots, go to Steam's "View" tab and click "Screenshots".

Similar to what Cyclone said, Steam also has a specific hot key combo that you can assign to take screenshots in any game. In the top corner if you go to Steam > Settings, you can set in under "in-game." Mine happens to be the 'keypad + ' button. I suggest you find a good key that also does not have a function in the game.

So, I know this bumping the thread a little, but what about the high resolution screenshot with Shift+F12?  I took a bunch of screenshots in game and cannot seem to find them.

Edit: I found where they are saved.  High resolution screenshots are saved under "C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Colossal Order" for anyone looking for it in the future.
