Some time ago I started getting a screen called AdF.ly whenever I download from the exchange, which causes my malware and virus programs to light up. Is this something that has been added by Simtropolis or do I have a problem?

I believe AdFly was first introduced around early last year.

 

It only applies to the STEX if you're not logged in (along with other restrictions for guests). This will appear on forum external links which point to selected domains, such as SC4Devotion & SimPeg (regardless of whether logged in or not).

    Thank you for the information, which pointed to the fact I was probably signed out without realizing it. I don't sign out myself but the system must do it occasionally for some reason.
