I have a few. I'm looking for more like dependcies. Something like a mega pack or something so I don't have just the Maxis lots being built.

Any ideas?

This might possibly be the wrong section for your question, sounds like it belongs in general discussion, but anyhoo...

Beware most of this will required you to create an account with the relevant site before you can download, don't worry they're all free.

The CAM might be up ur street, u may also want to consider (There's a CAMpatible version ). I do believe they're both fairly heavy on dependencies though.

SimPeg's site has a load of themed content on it, Some stuff is even packaged up for convienience.

Enjoy

Sorry to tell you but there really is no easy way out in regards to installing custom content. As mentioned above, the CAM mod does package up quite a lot of content into some CAM-Patible Mega Packs, but you'll still need to download a ton of dependencies for it to work.

IRM is simply brilliant, but in essence it doesn't really have new lots, it just makes the Industry from Maxis look much more realistic, and to do this you're going to need... yup a load of dependencies.

The thing is, after a few months you'll find that most dependencies are already installed and this will become less of a problem - but if you are starting out now there isn't really a way to fast forward the process with a couple of downloads.

A good tip would be to download all the content of a few creators only, as most creators stick with a small group of dependencies that they like. But at some point you are going to have to decide whether to put the needed work in to get the best out of the game or have a more vanilla experience.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

The best tip I can give you is the one I must have given hundreds of times: Don't carelessly download bunches of stuff because it looks awesome at the first glance => recipe for disaster.

Play until you realize that something is really bothering you and that there's something you would like to have. Then download that, or ask for it if you can't find it yourself. We have a dedicated "Can't find it? Ask here!" thread in the Simtropolis Exchange sub-forum.

See what happens when you add plugins, get an idea of what you're actually doing and how things work. Organize your plugins.

Don't like that sidewalk mod after all? Gee, now where on Earth did you put it...? <= BAD.

Going to check out that sidewalk mod, know where it is and what/how to delete if you don't like it after all? <= GOOD.

That stupid building is suddenly popping up everywhere, but which of the 150 files you downloaded might it be? <= BAD.

Found out that you'd like more variety in your high-tech industry zones, downloaded a few I-HT BATs, put them in a test folder for the time being, seen them grow (not too often), everything seems to work, moved them to your permanent plugins folder where you know where to find them? <= GOOD.

The mere question for a mega dependency pack sets off my alarm - why would you want to download a bunch of dependencies if you don't need them? Dependencies are called dependencies for a reason; something depends on them. Without that something, they won't do anything except for cluttering up your plugins folder and occupying HD space.

Take it easy, go slowly, let your actual playing demand decide what you need, not the feeling that something looks cool or is apparently popular or used by many people.

If you want some really great mods, my suggestion is to order the cd/dvd collections they have on here.

There you will get some of the best downloads made.

And you will have the time and patience needed for installing and not having to wait for all them downloads to finish.

And also view some of the forums on how to structure your folders to add your plugins in, they are great and will add a

a way for you to organize everything in it's proper place.

Funny enough, after all this time, I had rather that some of the things that are packed up as bundles in big dat files would actually not be. Simply deleting something from your plugin folder is quite easy compared to having to sift through some dat file.
