One of the things on my bucket list is to shoot a AK47 at a firing range.

 

 

Best assault rifle in a video game? I'd have to go with the AR34 from Perfect Dark. Not fancy, but accurate and powerful.

sales figures, military utilization, accuracy, reliability, pop culture appearences,...?

 

judging by videogames isn't a good thing as all weapons act differently in different games depending. I mostly use the m4a1 or ak47 in games, followed by scar, fal and g36.

 

ignoring videogames, I've only fired handguns so far so I can't judge the handling of either AR but I held a few of them listed above in hands and must say the m4a1 and g36 have a good feeling to them. Judging by desing these 2 are high on my favorites list

Frankly shooting bullets or fleshettes at people is one of the things that should be permanently outlawed.  These child's toys should disappear with childhood's end.  When that will occur for homo sap seems to be infinitely delayed.

If I were to ever live in the US I would love to get my hands on a pistol and a semi-automatic AK47. The responsibility alone would be worth it. Kind of like driving a car, you are in charge of something which could kill/injure yourself or others if you don't how to use it. Changes ones perspective on life you know.

 

As for my favourite gun in video games, that would be the M16A2 in Battlefield Bad Company 2. Once you get the rhythm of the recoil it is an absolute monster!
