Wolf_pt, GMT, jrhnemo: Thanks for the comments 44.gif.

Update 1 - Goal: Creating a mountainroad and a realstic environment.

This is the area i'm going to focus on today.

    slope17lf.jpg

The plan here is to create a mountainroad, so the first natural thing is to create a slope with elevated highways.

    slope25oe.jpg

Off course the slope looks to straight as it is now, so some additional terraforming is needed. The result of that and the placement of the road:

    slope31ep.jpg

    Adding some flowerfields:

    slop40fz.jpg

And finally some god-mode tree placement:

    slope57ao.jpg

    End result:

    endresult19nn.jpg

    endresult20zt.jpg

    endresult37ta.jpg

Hope you liked it, see you next time 2.gif Next update will be the creation of a village.

Really great start and update as well. This looks promising... hopefully The Critic agrees as well. (if you know who that is).

Kwakelaar, superchad, Micah, 1ajs, jacqulina, jrhnemo, realdimension, Fabiocb, praiodan (nice to see you again dude 2.gif ), thanks for your comments! 44.gif44.gif

This update will not be tutorial as i already covered how to make forest path in my previous CJ, look at the last page if you want to know how to do it 1.gif

Update 2 - Goal: Creating a forestpath to the castle

    path19dn.jpg

    path22uv.jpg

    path30qu.jpg

    path42jd.jpg

This is the finished result for the city (read wilderness) of Castlehill (yes i suffer from bad imagination 37.gif). I think it's kinda realistic to have some wilderness between the villages/cities so that's why there's no buildings except for the castle. Oh, and the castle is a standard rush hour landmark so you should find it in your landmarks menu if you want to use it yourself. Hope you liked it, next time we're (hopefully) going to see some civilisation 1.gif See you next time!

Wow.. This looks amazing, Metasmurf! 6.gif The road through the mountains has something really romantic about it.. Also, the dirt road that leads up to the castle really looks as though it continues into the lot! What an amazing find there! In your latest update, the ferry looks 'ferry' cool and that last shot with the industrial development is probably my favorite of the bunch.. The japanese seawalls.. Looks fantastic!

Perhaps a little bit of advice: if you leave the game running on turtle speed when you take the pictures, that yellow pauze thing will dissappear and make the shots even better than they already are..

Keep up the good work and thanks for linking to Chaumont in your signature! 44.gif

I LOVE the terraforming. You pay such good attention to detail. Is there anyway you could direct me to the place you got the flowers? They look very cool and I'd love to put them in some of my cities.

    Thanks in advance!
