    In order to motivate you to visit the previous page with the post about the Railway Station, I'll show you here a nightview of it 23.gif

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Railway6a.JPG align=baseline>

    Can you imagin how my heart bleeds when I must sign the annual ballance - expenses for electricity are immense... But it's worth to pay, as outcome looks quite nice, doesn't it?

    Best regards,
    Simbourgeois
    Mayor of Belleville

    P.S. Sorry for a kind of double post, but I couldn't add a picture to the previous post by editing it, something went wrong...

    Now I want to show you a special restaurant near the Railway Station - Bahnhof. Owned by Muller family, this restaurant serves the best German specialties in Belleville 21.gif

    Thanks, Alkaola, for the compliment 16.gif

    I think that your problem with those trees is that it's necessary to wait some months while they show up. They're seasonal ones, so you need to wait until spring changes to summer, summer to autumn etc. Hope it helped you...

    Dear Mayor Simbourgeois,

    When will you hear the peoples' demands? 32.gif Under the paper thin facade of beautification and opulence, there lurks a rumbling proletariat wave just waiting to wash out your politics of greed. We have no cake! If the worker is made to starve, then at some point the worker will need to feast... We demand to see how the other-half lives!

    Sincerely,
    Comrade Jack Common

    Nice looking city, mr. Simboureois :}

    But i have one question about the railway station. Is the taxis the only way to get to the station? What about some mass transit like buses or else? :}

    elbeato: I really thank you, comrade Jack Common, for your interest in developing our city and this CJ, but the demands you included in your post should be addressed to the Department of Economic and Social Affairs 19.gif They'll contact you afterwards... well... maybe... 46.gif ... Anyway, go to that department, and they'll probably send you to the right place you should go with your demands 49.gif

    marrast: I sent your question to M.Hagege, director of the Department of Information, and some answer should be available after some days... hmm... well, after some weeks... or months... You know, I myself, I'm not using railway 20.gif I prefer my limousine...

    Anyway, today it's St.Valentine's Day 36.gif

    Therefore I'll show you how it's celebrated in Belleville - the most romantic city in Pays-Beau... I would like to say that it's the most romantic city in the World, but this title certainly goes to Paris 19.gif

    The irony of it is that the main event related to St.Valentine's day took place... in February 12. But it's quite common for the St.Valentine's balls...

    St%20Valentine%201.JPG

    It was Hotel Olympic, one of the most splendid hotels in Belleville. And, as you can see in the next picture, I spent quite a good time there... Just don't show this photo to my darling, she was in the lady's room when I was flirting with that beautiful young lady...

    St%20Valentine%202.JPG

    Happy St.Valentine's Day!!!

    Bonne Saint-Valentine!!!

    It's February 15th so it's time to get back from romantic balls and parties to the real life - credits, loans, finances... This morning while checking The Economist home page I found there an article about the branch of Britannia Commercial Bank in Belleville. Therefore this post will be about this bank...

    Britannia%201.JPG

    Not as popular as Societe Belleville (in the previous page) it is still in the top 5 of all the banks in Pays-Beaux. Well, it gives a touch of London City's atmosphere to Belleville. But, when having business with banks, keep in mind what George Bernard Shaw once said: the faults of the burglar are the qualities of the financier 17.gif
    Although the main entrance of this building leads to the rue Bourget, they've built another doors for customers which you can see in the next picture. So if you want to get some halfpence for your trip to Old England, you can enter the bank from Avenue Est.

    This is my 300th post smiley_0085.gif

    Thanks, Bobbo662, marrast, bobinator and TheGuardianAngel for your comments !!!

    As this is my 300th post, I wanted to show something where my own work could be seen. Otherwise I'm just showing you all those things that was in Belleville already before my era...

    marrast once asked: But i have one question about the railway station. Is the taxis the only way to get to the station? What about some mass transit like buses or else?

    So here's the answer: Indeed, at the time you asked the question, there was no other way how to ge to the station - only taxis, bikes or... healthy march 17.gif And noone even imagined that things could be arrenged in some other way... But then - marrast asked his question... Many bellevillois are reading this CJ and here you can see the outcome...

    Busstop%201.JPG

    I hate when people express their will in such a way 26.gif But, as they were protesting in front of my windows, it was necessary to find a sollution...

    Busstop%202a.JPG
    Well, everyone is happy now - especially I myself. My mayor rating went up to the 99,7 points 9.gif I'm becoming a true idol for all the bellevillois, he he. Well, not for all of them, of course (this was a kind of fake poll, because the bureau of statistics chosed only some 100 respondents from wealthy quarters - according to my order, of course)... But I asked my secretary to burn all the letters with complaints. So I just don't receive them 11.gif

    It's been a while since your last update! But fortunately, Belleville is still alive!

    Do you mind me correcting french langage mistakes??? It's transports en communs, not transports en communes. But it makes sense anyway with commune, commune of Belleville meaning city of Belleville.

    Keep on!

    timo: well, after some difficult time, everything goes fine in Belleville...

    Today - the best German pub in Belleville - Alter Fritz

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Alter%20Fritz%201.JPG align=baseline>

    Established already in 1768, this is the only pub which serves the famous altbier - after the German word for old. While most of Europe switched to blonde-colored lagers in the late 1800's, beer drinkers in Belleville stayed loyal to ale brewed in the old style. And some of them still are - they're gathering here.

    A wise man once said: When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. Sooooo, let's all get drunk and go to heaven!

    Interesting stuff! Very original! I love the oldstyle buildings, but some I don't recognize: the last two pics of your previous update show a university-like building: what is it? And I alkso do not recognize the Jenx-like German buildingAlter Fritz pub. Where do you get those buildings? Very inspiring cj Simbourgeois! Keep it up!44.gif44.gif

    utora: Thanks for your nice comment! And about those buildings - they both can be found at STEX. The first one in the old style University made by agart. You can find it here: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=2910
    The second one is indeed JENX chef-d'oeuvre - Michelstadt timber frame house ver.1. It's located here: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=2513

    EnigmaticUK: Well, I'm affraid that you'll need to come to Belleville in order to get the real altbier a la bellevillois... But otherwise there's some good stuff in Germany...

    Thanks again for your comments!!! Now I must go back to my other duties - I'm quite worried about my friend Detraigne...
