I've seen several screenshots and several youtube videos of SimCity that show deciduous, autumn trees and bushes.  I've played until fall in-game and still haven't seen them.  Was this removed or is there a way to get them?

No such mods exist in SC13. There are however, many different filters that change the color of cities. They are located in the settings menu.

I have tried the filters, but they don't change the color of the trees.  Here's an picture of what I'm talking about.  Whenever I play the trees are green year-round.

I think it depends on the map. I've seen the fall colors before.

Do you just go to one of those maps, wait until autumn and then the deciduous trees turn orange?

From what I've seen the leaves change with the seasons. You get the orange and brown colors in fall, and in winter the trees are thinned out a little, but I don't think they are totally barren like you would expect to see in northern climates.

Yeah exactly that. Seasons aren't very pronounced in this game, but they are there

The colours depend on your game settings. If you are playing on low or minimum lighting setting you will see green trees all year round, no autumn colours. Also, if your geometry setting is low you won't see many trees even if you plant a forest. The trees are there but you just don't see very many of them.

I've seen the autumn color trees before too.  They only appear in the very original maps that came with the game and not added in a patch.  I don't know if graphics have anything to do with it, but I play on all high settings except I use medium light and medium shadow.  Yes they only appear at certain times of the year.  I wish they'd make it snow during the winter.

Thanks guys for the help.  It was my lighting settings which were on low.  Strange how the colors of the trees would be related to lighting.
